I would like to know the answer to this question as well? I was told that if they did not get it done in the next couple of weeks that they would not be able to. I think this should have been handled a little differently,it is hard enough to get money from the school. It seems every thing takes way to long to get started just like with the weights which I hear are finally in but not set up.I know that every thing has a process but can we speed some of the steps up?

I have heard that there were a couple of the boys on the baseball team that were going to play football, but there we go again alot of boys said they were coming out for spring ball and never showed up. Football is a game that you have to love it takes alot of work,dedication, and discipline some kids are not ready to make this kind of task. Like Coach Copley said he knows who is core is and that is who he will put on the field come Friday nights.

I have one question what does the baseball team winning have to do with the kids wanting to come out for football? It looks to me if they wanted to play football then they would come out wether they won state or not just curious?:confused:

There is diffently a ton of talent in the backfield. Corey, Terry and Brandon are all very talented and love the game of Football. If the line can do the blocking then these young men will do their part and make this a season for everyone to remember as the turn around for Greenup county. We may not win every game but like Coach Copley said the teams will know we are on the field!

Zach is a really good kid, He knows what is expected from him and I believe he will be able to do the job. Staying focused and hitting the weights hard will turn him into an even better QB. Is their anyone else who has tried out for this position?

Any info on when they plan to start working on the field? We have had great weather and I would have thought they would have done something by now.

No, it is not a wrestling team the football coach has the boys wrestling and boxing to obtain mental toughness as well as physical. All the boys that I 've talked to seam to love doing these exercises.

You are right about record turn out this year for the Golf Scramble and I believe this is only the beginning of the records to be broke at Greenup this year. I totally agree with you things are looking great right now and the boys are feeling like they have a chance at a winning season. From what I hear the boxing is just about everyones favorite workout. And the feeding every 2 or 3 hours has got to put some weight on those who need it. I may have to take out a loan to be able to afford the protein shakes!:lol:

There has been a rumor that Kitchen may be leaving GC, has anyone else heard this? I hate to see spring practice end,these boys have really been having alot of fun (Me too). Now it is time for the parents to get to work and get things ready for the season,so I hope to see everyone tonight at the Booster Meeting.:banana:

A great way to step up would be to come to the meeting Tuesday night:bunny:. Coach Copley wants to send the boys to a camp this August and we will need help with this. Lots of things are in progress right now if you are not aware of them then contact a booster member or PM me. I was told that not only are we getting the new lights, seats, and equipment, but now sod was going to be put on the field as well. Also a booster member spoke with Scott Burchett, and he told them that the new field house is indeed coming this year he even drew it out and showed that there was going to be a breeze way.

I had a chance to watch a little of practice yesterday,the boys did have some hitting going on and I think that they were loving it. One thing that I have noticed is after practice lots of parents sticking around talking to other parents , coaches, it is like no one wants to go home. It is great to be able to witness so much excitement from all that is involved. It is becoming one BIG FAMILY. :dancingpa

I believe some are running track and baseball as well. You are right about the 100% committed that is where we will see some results. Kids that are truely wanting to play the game. Have you heard about when they might start the work on the field? We need to get this started in order for the new seed to have time to grow.

Wonderful news about the equipment it is about time that the boys get support that has been needed. It is good to see Copley will speak up when need be too. The combination of the middle schools I think is a wonderful ,maybe now there will not be such a seperation of the county. I heard yesterday at practice that we were very low in numbers,I think they said around 20 where did every one go?

Anyone have any info on when the spring game will be yet?:idunno: I got to watch practice the other day and the boys are looking really good. I loved watching them battle it out for the spots. They seem to really like the new coach and the way things are being run now. All the boys are in school colors and even take off their shoes before entering the locker room. They are on the right track for a Great season. Keep up the good work boys!!!!!!!:thumb:

If it is all worked out then where did they decide to put the new weight room? This has been the longest drawn out process I have ever seen. Who would have known that it would cause so much trouble for something nice to be added for the good of the WHOLE school.
