  1. Thanks for pointing us to the guidelines! I had no idea it was the standardized time. Good find :thumb:
  2. Go Highlands as well! I would love if we can get 5 NKY teams to Bowling Green! What a party that would be..
  3. Would Brockman have been the D1AA tackle? Metzger was a good RB for that team but I do think the Moore/Zajac/Barrett trio is better. Moore and Zajac better individually than Metzger who would get the nod over the sophomore Barrett as an individual right now.

  5. I didn't participate in that thread back then apparently and thought about now posting my numbers in there but didn't want to have two threads going since that one included height. But as I said I'm 5'9"-5'10" now and probably 150. I was at 165 until last September/October when I started having shortness of breath problems that put me in and out of the hospital a few times. The doctors never figured out what it was but in addition to the breathing issues I lost about 25 pounds (down to 140). I want to get back up to the 165-175 range but no matter what I do it's hard for me to put weight on. When I graduated I was probably 5'8" and 135-140 (just a little guy).
  6. Put Tom Gamble in charge and you'll be paying $200 for a state final game...
  7. Yes the KHSAA website has them defaulted as 7:30 starts. For Dixie's playoff games against Ryle and SK the website showed 7:30 automatically but those games were scheduled 7:00 starts (the SK game didn't start until 7:30 due to them being stuck in traffic and arriving late).
  8. Yes, very nice job indeed by the broadcasting students! I was at the 1st HHS/CCH game this year and while I was initially shocked that they had a pregame show, halftime show and sideline reporter, I think it is great that HHS is getting students involved in the games (and they do a good job on top of it.) :thumb:
  9. Why not? Bitterness? I don't see why you wouldn't cheer for a school in the same school system to try to win state. Heck if Dixie wins this Friday atleast when you relive this year with SK fans you can say "SK had a good team but ran into a team that ended up finishing #2 (or #1) in the state."
  10. I know the players and coaches are. Fans are too but we can multi-task and talk about other things as well.
  11. If you don't go to HHS, you are more than welcome to come support your Kenton County brethren at Rice Mountjoy Stadium. Heck you may be able to make the 6 o'clock 4A game at Highlands and then make the drive to Edgewood/Fort Mitchell/Erlanger to catch the 2nd half of the 6A game.
  12. Those 3 plays have worked pretty well for the past 12 weeks. And if Dixie loses, it won't be because they choked, it will be because Ballard played better than Dixie. Dixie doesn't make excuses like the team from Independence, we acknowledge facts.
  13. Good thing the Dixie team, staff and fans are just focused on our next challenge which is Ballard in the state semifinals. We'll worry about next year when that time comes.
  14. I know know about Meade, Trinity or Ballard so for me to make a prediction would be a bad idea. Just hoping for some great games and that all four teams make it out of Friday's contests injury free. Good luck to all teams!
  15. Because last year SK was obviously a little better than Dixie and executed better. This year, Dixie is better and executed better. Last year has nothing to do with this year or the games that were played. The players this year for Dixie outplayed the kids from SK. Simple as that.
  16. You HHS fans have thin skin. Once again, I said it was a good run and complimented Hoge for his vision. Also, I never said Moore was a great QB or in Hoge's league, I only said Moore has had some good runs as well. Nothing else. And yes I have seen Beau play. Once again, not sure how Week 1 is relevant to the Regional Championship (Week 13).
  17. A run play keeps the clock moving. They had faith in Nugent. If they would've passed the ball and it went incomplete, you'd be on here complaining they should've ran. I thought it was a good call to go run and let the clock tick.
  18. Where did I say Moore was a better passer or more elusive than Hoge? I believe I said Moore has had good runs too. Has he not? Also pretty sure I gave Hoge credit for good vision and a good run but you want to bring up the DH-CCH game for some reason when it has 0 to do with the run by Beau. Don't put words in my mouth just because you made a terrible attempt at connecting completely irrelevant topics.
  19. And if you can connect the relevance of Week 1 to the regional championship for me I would love it. I'll wait...
  20. I was unaware that Hoge made this run in a CCH-Dixie game. Thanks for pointing that out as I missed the Dixie players in the video and how they relate to this play. I'll be more aware next time. :thumb: A few tackles were missed because of Hoge's moves, not denying that, but there were also just missed tackles by CCH. Yeah I guess seeing it live and seeing it on video are two entirely different things. While being there and seeing it live most likely allowed you to listen to the fans cheer, I probably saw the same thing you did though. And it's not hard for me as a non HHS fan to admit them doing something good. I'm actually pretty sure I have been complimentary of Highlands in the past. But wear your blue glasses and generalize about everyone else if you must!
  21. Threads are being started for other players. It was a good, not great, but good run by Beau. If Cov Cath players could tackle, there isn't a thread for this run because he would've been stopped well before the endzone. I'll give it to him that it was good vision.
  22. They made it to the third game of the playoffs. Whether that was considered the semifinals, I don't know. This will be the fourth postseason game for Dixie this year. 2004: beat Shelby county, beat trinity, lost to boone county
