Football is looking good...Not sure about Woods coaching but he cant coach anyway....I dont blame J...I would stay in Florida also..but would still love to have him here...Dont think it was SC fever just Nashville fever...

I just said IF Coach Prewitt came his son and MAYBE a couple more young kids may come.W, burg offers AP classes and several kids go to Cumberland for classes. Our test scores are good and we keep trying. I think Whitley has an excellent school system, good facilities, good leadership.

I,m not saying he will get the job but he is a possiblity. His son will come with him and probably a couple more good young players. Also I dont think Coach Prewitt was ran off at Wburg but chose to leave for another school. Also I dont think Brent Vernon is ready for the job but would still be a good hire and Marks heart is in college coaching. I agree with Master these young men are smart, but I dont think Wburg is a bad situation and these 2 brothers STILL have a bond to the school they graduated from.

15 days only count if you are in school....so you may have 10 days...spring break and then 5 more.

I think South will have to start Monday after Sweet 16..they will have 15 school days to get in 10 practices.

I agree..but Steve had played 2 or 3 years at Corbin before big Jackie took the Whitley job and it was Steves senior year.If the son stays at Somerset for senior year no big deal but to bring daughter with you and send her to another school seems alittle out of line.

It basically became official yesterday {wednesday}.I,m pretty sure it will be a 30 day state wide search. Guess this should be a new thread I still cant see Whitley getting Deaton..letting his son stay at somerset and his Daughter go to Corbin. Deaton boy would be a good option QB and could be the difference in coming in 1st or 2nd as opposed to 3rd or 4th without him.......not sure what his daughter plays ut Whitleys girls team and facilities are at least equal to Corbins...I can kind of understand the boy staying if he is a senior but to bring the gil and send her to another school seems like a slap in the face.......I still have a feeling before it is all said and done Rich Prewitt will be on the side line.

I agree..turning the ball over 19 times doesnt mean anything when you win....but I would say 19 turnovers against South wont be good.

I think A high scoreing game will spell doom for the hounds. I aslo think SL will be ready for the slow down since Corbin used it the secnd game. I'd like to see a close one but I canr see Corbin staying within 20.

I agree with you. I THINK I would have played the games but Coach Haynes has taken ALOT of abuse, been called coward and gutless. Seems like it took alot more courage to say yea I dont agree with this alignment and we are not good enough this year to compete so we are not going to play instead of playing Corbin and South twice and letting his kids get beat by probably 250 points.

I like taking 4 now...there are some blowouts but a few 4's win and it keeps the regular season more meaningful all the way to the last game....If it goes to 6 classes there would be 4 or 5 at most per district so I think taking the top 3 with 1's getting a bye would be a good idea...I have not heard this mentioned but it wouldnt be a bad idea

I may be wrong...but I'm about 99% sure of his quote....He was ask "what did you learn if anything from coaching in the NFL " and he said "I learned a little humility and that the guys who lose sometimes work just as hard as the guys who win" Anyway..........What does ANYONE think about if we go to six clasess taking the top 3 to playoffs with 1 seed geting a bye

But these kids come to T and X to play football....There are usually around 100 Freshman who play football at these 2 schools....about 25-30 will be on the team as seniors..are these kids cut or do they just realize they are not going to get to play and weed themself out.

No.. What he meant was he learned he worked his tail off and still couldnt win...all I'm saying is there are alot of good coaches who work very very hard and most never win a state championship...

To think that the coaches at T and X could swap teams with other 4A schools and beat T and X is IMO a little much. Now I do believe there at LOTS of coaches in the state that could go to X and T and win...I beieve Steve Spurier sais he "learned a little humility, the guys who dont win as many games work just as hard and put in just as much time as the guys who do win alot of games.

I saw Marcum at UK. He was one of the best receivers there, but there were only 10 schools.

I think its a great move...HS football Thursday night, all day Friday, college football and beer Saturday and heck Bengals may play at home on Sunday..what a way to close out HS football season :banana: :dancingpa
