Holy Cross over Holmes in 96' was a HUGE upset.

Which is why IMO none of the teams you listed would beat Holmes on a neutral court....especially not in the post season. Holmes would beat Eastern and Shelby Valley both by 10+. Shelby Valley isn't athletic enough to stop Holmes offensively and Eastern isn't big enough to beat Holmes. It's going to take a good shooting team like EC or a big team with athleticism, like Scott Co, to knock off Holmes RIGHT NOW.

Henry Clay over Bryan Station could be considered a mild upset IMO.

Not supplying "cover" for anyone. There's just no need to continually bash a 16 yr old kid and call them classless, while questioning their character, and accusing them of "trash talking" after EVERY game Holmes wins. It gets real old.

The key for Beechwood is being able to counter the Holmes runs. Holmes is going to make a big run at some point in the game but Beechwood has to be able to counter it. First game, Holmes started the game on a 9-0 run but Beechwood countered with a 14-4 run the rest of the quarter and first minute of the second quarter to take a lead. After that run by Beechwood, Holmes outscored them 15-6 the rest of the first half, and Beechwood was never able to recover. If they want to win, they can't let Holmes make those big runs like they did in the first game....which goes back to my point of stating I don't think Beechwood plays good enough defense to beat Holmes. Despite the offensive woes the last few games for Holmes, Beechwood doesn't want to get in an uptempo, quick paced scoring game with Holmes or they'll get ran off the floor.

I personally see no problem with Beechwood's schedule and don't really understand why just because they're having a little success all of a sudden, some think they should move up? Beechwood has proved themselves to be a legit top 10 team. We have to realize they aren't a power house year in and year out in DIII so why would they move up? The cycles of talent in DIII schools vary much more than DII and DI schools.

Yea and the other players are innocent and say nothing back. :lol: There is nothing wrong with talking a little trash during a game, as long as it doesn't cross the line. Pittman has only gotten t'd up once this year, so really I see nothing wrong with him talking to the opponent. It happens at all levels of the game and other high school kids do it as well, so let's not single out just one kid like they're the only one who does it. If I remember correctly Trimpe, Giwa, Egan, and Eastin did their fair share of talking last night as well. It's a two way street buddy. Isler of CCH is the only kid I've seen not say anything when Pittman was "talking" to him during a game...he just laughed it off.

Actually anyone who knows me personally, knows my source is pretty reliable. They just didn't want me bringing the issues out on here, because there's no need to talk about 16 yr old KIDS on here when it comes to off the court issues. Since Coach Henley went ahead and gave a reason for him not starting, I posted it. Why is the Pittman issue still even being discussed? Is that all anyone can talk about to bring negativity towards Holmes since they won?
