  1. Agreed. I'd be shocked if Massett closes next year. It makes zero sense to let him close unless they plan on letting him leave.
  2. Exactly. What does Heisey need to do to get 20 straight starts? Between center and left there it should be easy.
  3. That's always what it's about at Holmes. I'm not sure this hire helps that. If they do listen and buy into the coaches though they will have a lot of good info to listen to.
  4. I believe I read that there were other possible charges but the grand jury thought the highest charges were the correct ones.
  5. I'd actually be surprised if he didn't at this point.
  6. At least last season was fun. When will the lockout end so Favre can sign with the Bengals?
  7. It blows my mind that if you can hide a body long enough and there is enough decomposition a jury will acquit you. This defense attorney won the case with his opening statement and never ever hinted at those reasons again, because they were so far from the truth he couldn't even attempt to use them when the prosecutors could question her. It's absurd.
  8. I totally agree. I guess for some people the only way there isn't a "reasonable" doubt is firm DNA evidence or video tape of the murder. Here's a good article I read today saying basically the same stuff you did. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2011/07/05/casey-anthony-trial-marcia-clark-says-the-verdict-was-worse-than-the-o-j-simpson-case.html
  9. No, the offense is fine. They have scored a bunch of runs this year.
  10. Janish with another error, Volquez gives up two in the first and the offense is non existent so far.
  11. Not sure. It seemed to me the mom was trying to help her get off though. I still think since the defense said she for sure drowned you have to believe that to be fact. That on top of the jail recordings should have done it.
  12. You do realize she lied about that right?
  13. Didn't you have to believe the drowning story to acquit her? The Defense didn't have anything to prove, but they didn't say nobody knows what happened. They said she drowned accidentally and the family hid the accident. That has to be the story the jurors believe now right?
  14. I've heard the same thing, but no explanation of what they mean. I'd like to know as well.
  15. What I meant was different jurors have different definitions of reasonable doubt. It isn't a reasonable explanation that she covered up an accidental drowning because her brother and dad sexually assaulted her without ever even saying anything ever again about the alleged sexual assault. Just because a case lacks clear DNA evidence or a smoking gun doesn't mean the defense or the presumption of innocence is reasonable.
  16. She's dead. Is it reasonable that they covered up an accidental drowning with Zanny the missing nanny? Her mom blatently lied on the stand saying she was the one that searched for chloroform, but at the time of the search she was at work.
  17. That's what the system requires "sometimes". When we have jurors we never know what we'll get. Is the only way to not have reasonable doubt that there has to be a video tape? The defense was that she drowned and covered up an accidental drowning. And the fake nanzy's name was Zanny? Zanny? Unbelievable. Sometimes when the killer hides the body and it's not found for a period of time there is some evidence that is obviously going to be lost. So it's ok to not convict someone who does that? Lunacy.
  18. So you can't get convicted with circumstantial evidence now? What do we need a video tape of her killing her child? Her defense was her dad and brother sexually assaulted her yet they never ever tried proving it in trial, and that she accidentally drowned and her dad who is a cop tried covering it up? Who covers up an accidental drowning? Jurors and others who think the prosecutors didn't do enough are lost.
  19. Every talk she had inside the jail. That's all they should have needed. She was still "looking" for a child she knew was dead? Her dad was the greatest dad ever even after raping and abusing her? Why are people only talking about Caylee I'm a victim too?
  20. You would lose. Those had to be the dumbest people in Florida. The defense won the case banking on jurors being idiots and they were right.
  21. Our justice system continues to amaze me more and more every day.
