Everyone needs to get their facts straight. I just finished reviewing the game tape not guessing. Mason's starters went out with 1:26 left in the game. Ferguson only scored two points(2 freethrows) after they went out. He scored 25pts while Miller was in the game. Of the 6 three's he hit Miller was in his face on four of them, Setty on one, and Miller pushed Middleton out on him on the other one. How can you get that he was dominated when he scored 27pts, was 6-13 from the three, and scored 25 of the 27 while Miller was in the game.

Wonder if it's just in the Dozen's of "Division One" coach's head's that are contacting(some heavy duty,constant) some of the above mentioned player's that they are better than they really are.:dancingpa

He handles it plenty enough to rack up tunover's if he didn't have good handle's. I have even saw him run the point a couple time's this season and he did an excellant job.

If it is safe to travel, Coach May's will have his team there.

Elliott will probably not have over 300-400 if that many.

He said # 5(the kid) pointed at the scoreboard's taunting the raceland bench and the crowd erupted with cheer. Take your pick. Imo the crowd cheered because the game had been stalled and was getting back underway. It just so happened that the kid was walking toward the bench and started pointing at the scoreboard. The kid was out of line, he did get benched. Lets just let it go. Does anyone know how Spark's ankle is? I hope he wasn't injured bad enough to end his season!

Read carefully. I said Elliott's will not be because of kid...........meaning they will fall. So no they couldnt be the winner of state if they fall:rolleyes:

I'd say you are right. There is probably someone "out there" somewhere in the state scoring 40 or 50 a game, and they are just not listing it!!

Every team in the state will fall(except the state champion). I don't think Elliott's will be because this kid pointed at the scoreboard. I personally feel sorry for him. He has lost a uncle, grandpa, and a parent in the last 7 weeks.

Who care's? They don't play in those region's. Why would you try to down a kid? If someone at Riverside(if they still have a school) was leading I would congratulate him like everyone else on the thread did.

I am not sure how many high school's there are in ky, but 154 have reported their stats to khsaa.

I guess one could call it embarassing if they were trying to be politically correct and conform themselves to a High society standard. Well i'm not! I am certain I am the one being talked about. You see I stood up and did a little dance and pointed at the scoreboard in response to one of the Ashland student sections chant's. They(Ashland's student section) seemed to thoroughly enjoy it, as did the dozen or so people who called me late last night to tell me I made the news. OH!! by the way several of the ballplayers called too and told me they really appreciated the support as "most of the Elliott fans are too quite and too laid back". I am a kid at heart and probably will be until my own kid's graduate high school. I fully support them in all their activities and even get down on their level(which isn't too hard for me) and play video games with them, take em fishing, hunting, shopping,etc and sometimes just simply goof off in public with them. It must be pretty good medicine, they all three have over 3.5 gpa's and have never been in the principal's office in trouble. I definately am not embarassed by dancing a little jig or screaming and cheering for my child's team, but I am embarassed sometimes that some of the other kid's parent's on both side's do not show any passion or support for their child or the sport! Guess everyone has their own way of looking at thing's. GO ELLIOTT!!!!!

It is very difficult to beat quality opponents regardless of what style you play. If you have ever (i'm sure you have) watched Elliott you then know as I stated before they are very small and have no true post player regardless of what is, what is not, what could be,what couldn't be, if you have watched them(i'm sure you have) you then know they absolutely cannot play a slow down style, they struggle offensively, but when they are running it is plain to see that is their game. They are playing the style they play best and are 65-17(last two season's and part of this one) have a 16th region title. I'm pretty sure I am going to vote for them to "Live To Run....Run To Win!:thumb:

IMO he is too young and not strong enough at the present time which is when I was speaking of. Most of his career he has played with his face to the basket and has not developed his post skills. Thus it still stand's Elliott does not have a true post presence. In a way I am glad they don't. I love the runnin and gunnin style they have played the last three season's and it's not been all that bad.......23-8 in 05,06.....25-7 in 06,07 17-2(so far) in 07,08. That is a far cry from years of 6-19 and 5-21 etc. Probably won't be very long till it's back to that. Don't really understand why people would begrudge us being a little....... okay a lot overhyped under the circumstance's. Can I throw in only trip to State in school history without getting completely annihilated.

Elliott hardly ever wins the battle on the glass. They have however won the biggest portion of their games. They shoot a lot of threes every game and for the most part shoot them well every game. They are a very small team and it should be no surprise that they have to do a lot of outside shooting. I mean "hello World" it's not like they have a major post presence. They have to live and die by the three and have twice this year. But they have lived by the three seventeen times. The three and running also makes them very fun to watch as they have garnered fans from everywhere whom are driving two hrs on nights their own team is playing just to watch these boys who are making a quick flash through high school basketball and evidently raising a lot of positives and negatives. Rose Hill won everybody in the state knows that. 24 of the 31 three's Elliott shot there was no hand or body any closer than three feet. They didn't fall even though they were good look's. The other seven were very heavily contested, three of those fell anyway. Rose Hill does have a complete team now and does play nice defense though it's not the best Elliott has faced this season. Probably 4th IMO. Rose Hill or any other team also argue's the why's and why not's when they are on the losing end. It is a normal human response to state "one's own opinion" on why their team won or lost especially on a site that was designed for that purpose. I wouldn't pay my 15.00 if when someone said, man our defense just choked them slap down and they couldn't do nothing against it....I had to just sit there and wasn't supposed to respond. By the way BogeyMan I don't feel you have the right to tell me to drop it(post # 48 page 1) until you pay my due's.

He is probably going to do that, but you know last year the same team barely scraped around in the region and had five or six losses and never really beat anybody very bad. I don't think he or anyone expected them to play as well as they have this year for the most part.

Elliott's principal does not allow the student section to cheer.
