I really can't believe that no one else has pointed this out yet, but here goes. The sides were switched to SUIT MONTGOMERY CO. They went in as a district loser AND they were in the bottom bracket. Which made them the visiting team. THEY ALWAYS SAT on their HOME side. Surely it is not that difficult to figure out. The only thing that was switched was the student section which was moved from the end. They did the exact same thing as everyone has been bashing Mason Co for.:irked:

I can't see Mason County looking over ANYONE especially at tournament time. I'll use the Montgomery and Clark Co. games as an example. They had beat both teams in regular season and you could tell even during warm-ups that they were fired up and ready to play ball. I don't see nerves as a problem for Setty. They have played too rough a schedule this year and Rupp is Darius's new home. How do you get Billy G. fever? I think I may have it. How do you get rid of it? Win an SEC championship maybe? GO CATS!! With that said, I take Mason by 10 - 12. Represent the 10th well Mason Co. You are playing for all of us now.:thumb:

I guess we were not the only ones that saw the head slap that way. I also meant to say Sunday Final not Saturday. What matters it would have been a weekend game, more people would have been able to attend. Its over it was just an all together different atmosphere, but a great game.:banana:

I don't think the kid hit him on the head mean, it was his way of telling him he did not mean to foul him like that. Crowds were down due to location and the game being in the middle of the week. A lot of people had to work. It worked out no one was turned away. Saturday night would have been a different story. Mason County played a great game. No home court advantage tonight.

Don't worry about me. I was one of the first in line last night. Had a great seat! Plan to do the same tonight. Someone even pointed out Gold Sunrise, who was close in line as well. I still think the lower arena was poorly designed with NO AISLE in the center.

I dont look for the crowd to be as big this year. Bad weather, high gas prices, longer drive for everyone, people afraid they cant get in the gym and people who cant get off work because of the game time changes will cut down on the crowd. Seating may not be a problem afterall. Time will tell. A hope those people with the deep pockets pay up to keep the schools from being the big losers.

As I said, why position the tournament so Lexington fans can come watch Darius? They have had ample opportunity to watch Darius this year IN Lexington. I would assume they have their own regional tournament to watch this week. This statement is just another attempt to justify moving the tournament further away from the other schools in the 10th region.

You all must get really confused when you come to Maysville, there are 5 entrances into the Mason Co. parking lot. 3 of them are in the back by the football field, they exit on to Maple Leaf Road and 2 of them are in the front. I always exit out the back and have NO problems. Maybe that is your problem with the parking, too big and you get lost. If we want to host the tournament closer where the Lexington fans can attend as stated in an earlier post, instead of making it closer to the majority of the 10th region why don't we just have it at memorial?

It kind of makes you wonder if it was done on purpose. I'm sure they would know how many tables to prepare for the schools.:creepy: Eight perhaps, one for each team and then maybe an extra one or two for press.

Having been a former coach, I know from experience that Mason Co sits on the home side to prevent the visitors bench from sitting in front of the Mason student section. This is discussed in the coaching meeting during the draw. This is in respect for the opposition. Of course if you've never been in the meeting, you wouldn't know this. With that said, a buddy of mine who was at the draw this year, I wasn't, said that when the Mason staff came in for the draw that there were no seats left in the library. They stood up for a while in the back before someone went to get them chairs. That is close to being one of the funniest things I've heard recently. Next to the pretty potty newspaper article of course. He said everyone in attendance was having a good laugh.:lol:

The people with the big bucks better be ready to pay up. Bad weather conditions and a location to far away from most schools and others who think they can't get in the gym may make for a low turn out. Have not seen any ib crowds yet!

What are we going to say about the games. Have there been any good games yet? I thought the question here was how do you like the Montgomery Co. Gym. :ylsuper:

They won't let you in the gym until an hour before the game starts. A lot of us had to wait outside in the cold while the Montgomery County people ran around inside doing nothing but watching the Kentucky Ball game. We saw this on the tv just inside the door. When we finally got inside we all had to sit in these seats in long rows that were very difficult to get in and out of. I suggest when you get a seat that you stay there for the whole game. These seats are only good for movies and church where people do not run in and out all the time. Who picked those seats out anyway. There is a lot of wasted space there. Montgomery County will never hold the crowd. People up stairs have to go down the stairs and then into the gym. It is difficult to keep up with anyone upstairs. Good luck keeping up with your kids. I still think Mason County has the better gym even though it is 30 years old. And one more thing I do not live in Mason County.:fire:

I was kind of thinking about on a school bus. Pardon me for thinking about the KIDS!!! School buses can't really drive over 55 mph.

Paris is about 1 hour to Maysville. Not a bad drive at all straight down US 68. I went last night to the game as well. I thought that Deming didn't bring as many people to the game as they usually do and I heard several complaining about the seating. I have to add, I WENT TO THE PRETTY POTTIES!!! They aren't as pretty as the Montgomery Co. athletic director predicted, scratches on the doors and everything. I was expecting at least 24 karat gold seats! I must say I was disappointed. I took a picture but can't get it to upload. I wanted to hear everyone else's opinions. :confused:

I will bet Deming has more fans tomorrow night. Mt. Olivet fans follow their team win or lose to a tournament. I pick Deming for bringing the best crowd.:fire:

Don't count Pendleton County out they still have some fight left in them. It's anybody's game on a good night.

I don't think this is a place to make fun of a schools program. Small schools don't have as many players to pick from to form a team. As for the location we are all stuck with the decision. We must all make the best of this situation. The games are in Mt. Sterling this year. Each team will play to the best of their ability. A home court advantage will not win a ball game. Someone always has to lose. Some teams are always better than others. Don't forget they are all just kids.

What does this mean? That Mason County should let Deming win to gain their votes back to holding the regional tournament? I seriously doubt that will happen! Besides I don't believe you have a vote in where the tournament is held and I don't believe other people in Mt. Olivet feel the same way you do. That voting decision would come from Chuck Brown or Jeremy McCloud. Everyone on this board IS NOT A MASON COUNTY FAN!! But I do respect their team and their program. My prediction. If my memory serves me correctly, Demings best players lost to Mason's freshmen about 3 weeks ago. Mason by as many as Chris O'Hearn wants.

But we all know that Montgomery County has the prettiest potties!!!! That was even printed in the newspaper!!

COACHING. The kids didn't lose this game they only did what they were told. I feel sorry for them!! :irked: AND I still say Nathan Mitchell should be starting.

Deming should have beat them, both teams lost a lead. It should have been Deming's Win. I don't know where you are getting your information on Pendleton County. Pendleton can't play with Mason. :ylsuper:
