Hope Elliott or Rose Hill comes out of here! Whoever will get embarrassed at state, but
Elliott is fun to watch!!
Fun to watch for sure, but really struggling to shoot the ball of late. As of now, I can't see them winning the region.
-
32-23 East at the half. Elliott playing zero ball tonight.
-
East shooting 11 of 15 so far
-
East 24 Elliott 18. Timeout Elliott. The Lions just don't have it tonight.
-
Elliott not very sharp tonight
-
Elliott struggling shooting the ball
-
Interesting, The Knipp brothers not starting for Elliott tonight.
-
It never hurt me, and IMO this is part of the problem with kids today, they get put in timeout or some other uneffective means of punishment instead of a good ol' fashion expletive busting.

Nascar drivers are as much finely tuned athletes as pro bowlers. Does it take a certain amount of skill? Yeah, I suppose. But so does basket weaving!

The average joe fan would not attend like the do the Sweet 16, Everybody wants to play in the Sweet 16 not the Not so Sweet 16.
Good idea in theory but would never work.
That's what I'm thinking also. But would be great for the kids and fans of the schools if it did.

That's why you expand it to invite the at-large teams as well. There will be plenty of ranked teams in it, and it could be on par with some of the big holiday tourneys at least in terms of quality teams.
I'm not saying that there wouldn't be quality teams involved... All I'm saying is, what stakes are on the line???? IMO, I just don't know if third party fans would turn out.
-
People have forgotten, the second game between these two was a 8 to 10 point game for about 30 minutes and East made a push late... Not saying that Elliott will have an easy time... But facts are facts, the first game I think Elliott won by 27. Things I do know..... It will be classic Ky high school basketball at Sandy Hook Friday. Packed gym, fans at full throat, and two teams fighting tooth and toe nail for the right to be crowned district champs. Enjoy!!!!!

I think it was the way over-inflated assist numbers they credited to Clark that ruffled feathers.
-
I kind of thought about this before. It's a good idea.
I'd also like to see, now that Tn/Ky All stars no longer play football, something a little different there. Break the state up into North/South/East/West Region All Stars, and let them play. 2 weeks later, in another venue, let the 2 winners play each other and let the 2 losers play each other, also. I think this could be a lot of fun and produce a lot of exposure for the kids.
I like the idea of playing the all star games. Personally I don't think a region runner-up tourney would generate enough fans or interest to make it feasible. But that doesn't mean the kids aren't deserving, or that I would be against trying it and seeing how it would be accepted.

Someone was probably sending her game updates from Minnesota's game.:thumb:
She should have known that ten loss tubby already had a regularly scheduled Febuary appointment

Would Bear Grylls count? :sssh:
Sure, he's outdoors enough for me:thumb:
-
Bowhunting would be my favorite. But riding atvs is the one that I do most often, because there isn't a season for it.
-
Lets all just be glad that the ol' Tubster didn't bring him to UK. He would however be all class while he was riding the pine between Williams and Carter.

This is a very naive position to think that nuclear plants, hundreds of millions of cars, etc have zero impact on our enviornment, at all. Up until 1800, there were very few factories & zero nuclear plants. Up until 1900, travel was done by horse. The world's population keeps doubling, tripling & quadrupling b/c of better health care & medicine. To think these add people & polutants have no impact, is just a very naive position.
Nuclear power plants are the cleanest, most effecient power plants in operation. Coal fired ones on the other hand....

Well, FWIW, I'm not upset in the least. You said "throw your darts" I was just stating my opinion. And no, no hard feelings in the least.

Don't get me wrong GO. Baker's teams are always hard nosed, defensive minded teams that are very much teams, they play together and will always compete. I'm just not as sold on him being the best coach in the region as you are.
-
When did Billy G. come to the Hook? As for the kid that went to Madness, potential he has in spades, but I would take Barnhill over him in a second. As for D1 players.... Maybe the best coach in the Region isn't developing his players
-
I honestly think Baker is the best coach in the region. I knew putting him number 1 would make people think that, but I really believe it.
For Spindoc,
Coach Fraley is a great guy and has done a fine job at RH this season. I just don't think he is a better coach than the other guys listed. Same with Rick Mays, RH and Elliott are doing a lot of what they do because of incredible talent. Sometimes a lot of talent is hard to coach, making people happy with PT and such, but I think you could win a few ball games with the talent RH has this season. I am not taking away anything from Coach Fraley or Coach Mays, this is just my opinion. They are both fine people and good coaches, just not in the top 5 in my very humble opinion.
So your saying Baker doesn't have any talent? If we are talking about coaches most capable to cry a river to officials, then yeah Baker is the man! There is nothing he does or is that seperates him from the other coaches in the region, IMO.
