  1. Don't think it fell dramatically!

How about more 10, or more loss seasons during his tenure than had been achieved in the history of the program. Only time in history of the program when we wasn't on probation that these also happened in consecutive seasons. Dramatically? Maybe not. But looking at it in these terms, it was an all time low for UK basketball.

  2. Agreed. Many people do everything in their power to hide their southern accent. I don't attempt to hide mine at all though I've been told mine gets worse when I've had an adult beverage or two. I remember I was in Newport one time at the Levee watching Mitch Hedberg and there were girls from NKY who liked my accent and wanted to know what state I was from. I replied, the same as you.

I also noticed my accent got worse after living with Corbinites for several years.

I've never tried to hide mine. No joke, I've had people from West Virginia comment on my accent and ask me if I was from Mississippi. But alot of people do try to hide them.

  3.

It's nothing really with Elliott as a program or anything like that but it's really the people that say Elliott is some kind of all-star lineup. I just don't believe all the Elliott hype that everyone brings up and it just annoys me. That's why I love it when they lose. Brings everyone else back down to Earth. But like I said I'll be at the 16th region tournament to see what they do. Till then...:thumb:

I'll agree, there are some on here that get carried away. I try to never build them up to be anything they aren't. Personally, I find some of the posts amusing. I just right it off as enthusiasm, and long suffering fans tasting a level of success never had before. Congrats, to the Valley on what has so far been a fine season also. :thumb:

  4. Good to see the Cats be the team that just completely out worked and out hustled their opponent today. Not throwing rocks at anyone, I just don't feel like we had done that much the last couple of years. Also, excellent job by BCG today. I'm starting to feel a lot better about next season after this game.

  5. East is a very talanted team, however, Raceland has played them twice this season. The first time East won by 4 or 5, in December. In February, Raceland beat East by "16". So, how could you consider Raceland a "lesser" team???

I mean no offense, as an Elliott fan, just posting how their games with the other region teams have went. Raceland, after watching the grit and determination they played Elliott with in their first meeting, even after they got down big, are actually my 2nd fav. region team. I wish them well in their first round game.

  6. Children need to be taught that if they are out of line that there will be ramifications. Setting on a couch in timeout doesn't do that quiet like ol' dads belt! My parents, ( I and got plenty whippings from both) always explained to me why and apologized to me for busting my tail. Therefore teaching me both respect, obedience, and love. And I can say today, that I respect both very much, still obey them (even as a grown man), and love them enormously! Spare the Rod, Spoil the Child. Pretty true statement if you ask me!!

  7. Alright, alright - its time for a little payback. I'm not sure which nights I'll be there for sure, but I'll make sure we can meet next week and settle our "debts". I will be in Morehead for MSU's game Tuesday night, so I'm not sure if I'll be to all 3 day's of the regional, but I'll definately be there at least 2 nights (assuming that Elliott doesn't lose in the first round). We'll get together for sure.:thumb:

I listened to the game on the radio for the most part and I"m not sure that anyone has mentioned that Elliott shot 10% from the field during the second quarter :creepy:

Not in this thread.... But I posted in the update thread that Elliott was really struggling shooting in the first half. :thumb:

  8. There were plenty of them filling those seats!! Great fan support from both schools and, for the most part, well behaved.

I said during the broadcast, there are some great sports venues out there, "The Barn" "The Palace" "The Shoe" and I have named Elliott Co Gym "The Shoe Horn" cause that's what it took to get all those fans in there tonight!!!

And thanks hog for supporting local radio!

Personally, And I know some fans stay home as opposed to being cramped.... I think that atmospheres at small gyms are really special. Fans right on top the action, expressions seen from players and opposing fans, just every thing a high stakes Ky. high school district championship game should be!
