Clinton county's School 6th grade team won a thriller over Lexington Catholic in ot at the KBA today. They lost their 2nd game to the AAU northern Ky Wolfpack by 3. The bulldogs looked a little flat agaist the wolfpack after their thrilling win over Lex Cath but the wolfpack has a pretty nice team. The win over Lex Cath should establish Clinton County as one of the favorites in the 6th grade state tournament.

The Raiders will beat Lincoln to capture the 12th.

The 6th grade Clinton County Bulldogs won tonight to improve to 21-1 on the season. I know they are going to the 6th grade state, who else is planning on going? I know Somerset and Wayne County are already in. Who are some of the teams from Northern Kentucky who will be there?

I talked with Sean Vinsel at the KBA and he said the tournament was filling up fast. Anyone interested in playing in the 6th grade state should contact Sean Vinsel at 859-219-9272 after 12:30 or go to their web site at http://www.playkba.com , go to middle school state tournaments and print an entry form. Entry deadline is Jan. 11th

Who are some of the teams planning to go to the KBA and play in the 6th grade state?

I agree, public schools need to step to the plate. Private's have a slight advantage but public schools that work hard are very competitive. Public schools just have to start developing their talent at a younger age.

The sad part is the KHSAA would only tell you that they do not control middle school athletics. You could use that as a reason why they should, but they already have plenty of reasons and will not do anything about it.

The Raiders and Lincoln seem to be the cream of the crop in the 12th.

Until Adair Co gets ahold of them again.

Agaist Northern today,the 6th grade won by 40+ to go 19-0. The 7th lost by 15+/-, and the 8th won by as many as they wanted, 20+/-. Northern's 7th grade is a nice squad with a ton of potential upside. They can't play with Meece yet, but maybe someday. Next up for CCMS will be South Laurel, in London, on Jan 4th. That 7th grade game could be ugly. South is very talented in the 7th.

The 8th grade Bulldogs defeated Adair County by 12 to improve to 14-3 on the season. The 7th grade Bulldogs won big over Adair County to improve to 10-4. The 6th grade Bulldogs are 18-0, all 3 teams play Northern tomarrow at Pulaski County High School starting at 2:30 EST.
