DeSales vs Meade County scrimmage August 14th
bellyball replied to ColtFootball's topic in KY Football (High School)
We (MC) lost a lot, a whole lot. I expect us to be well coached and tough but this might be a transition year. We've had a nice 2 year run but it may take a year to get back to that level. -
I had several conversations with some great T fans. They were polite and very complementary of our little campus. I'm sure there are bad apples in every bunch but my experience with the Rock fans was a good one.

Congratulations to Trinity! You have a great team and coaching staff. The game went much as I thought T defense took our running game away and we just can't throw the ball. Our defense is coached to contain and play zone which is a recipe for disaster against Coverdale. We provided a great environment for a game but just couldn't get it done on the field. Again congrats on a great game. Go Big Green! Go Waves!

Never said they were. I'm all for keeping the public and private playing each other. -

Yes it does. He is one of the reasons that the older crowd dislikes privates so much. It was feed into the program by the man who started it. I wish we had your resources and facilities but we don't. I am not going to cry and say it's unfair cause it's not... The rules are what they are. I would honestly hate to see private and public separate. I love the challenge of knocking the big boys off their throne. -

Male kicked our butt no 2 ways about it. Male had 350 or so yards of offense. We had 77 yards and 3 1st downs. Male ran 90 plays to our 30. Male definately left points on the field numerous times. At the same time it's pretty impressive that our Defense held Male to 17 points on 90 plays with zero help from the offense and no rest. Now our offense was beat up health wise and just hadn't started clicking yet. Our offense is healthier and playing much better now. How much better I don't know we'll see Friday. -

We miss multiple Extra points a game regularly. Missed 2 or 3 against Henry Clay, 2 vs. Scott County and 2 last week. I think we have made 3 or 4 FG this year. Our kicker does have a strong leg though. He attempted a 47 yarder and missed but had the distance. -

Yes, there is plenty of room to watch from the tack. You can lean on the fence in your spot or walk the track as the teams move. I love the view from the fence as it's very close to the field. I have been attending Meade County games since the early 80's and have watched almost every one from the fence. -

You won't have a problem with the Meade County crowd. We are good sports and generally very friendly people. I will say to anyone coming to the game come early to beat the long admission lines and to get your seat. The admission lines move slow when the place is packed. Last year for the Butler semi-state game there where hundreds of people in line at kickoff. We have enough parking for everyone but the earlier the better. -

I am hoping for a W for my Waves but beating Trinity in the playoffs is a lot to ask of any team. My fear is that Trinity's run defense is so good we have to throw the ball and we just don't do that often or very well. Trinity is susceptible to the deep ball but we don't have a deep threat or the ability to throw it deep. I feel like our defense can keep us in it but wonder if the offense can do enough to win it. To win I think we'll need to be +2 or more on turnovers and need to take advantage of the home field/crowd. -
Trinity's defense is definitely not porous. I have watched parts of 3 or 4 of their games this year. From what I've seen it will not be easy to run the ball on them.

Complete domination in this one by the Waves. Meade County led 13-0 with 36 seconds to go in the 1st quarter before Central ran their 1st play on offense. -
