bellyball Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Complete domination in this one by the Waves. Meade County led 13-0 with 36 seconds to go in the 1st quarter before Central ran their 1st play on offense.
MEANGREENMACHINE Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Sweet revenge! Honestly, I am blown away by the domination. Central Hardin was no cake walk the first time we played them. However, I knew the key was containing the QB pass/run option, and I suppose they did just that (unfortunately, I caught a dumb cold and didn't go...). Great season, Central, BTW!
Varneystone Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Meade county dominated both lines and their linebackers filled better than ours. Not catching the kickoff and sending the defense back onto the field in the first quarter was devastating to the CH defense. Good luck to Meade and I will be at the game cheering for you guys next week.
ApolloFan98 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Its time to start discussing if this Meade County defense is the best defense in the state. They have answered the bell time and time again. Their offense hit a skid in the middle of the season but their D hasnt let them down all year. Seems as if the D dominated this one tonight. John Wilson is a wrecking machine for the Waves. While Meade is out of our area we have taken them under our wing on the Homers show(local radio show here in Owensboro) and have had a blast covering them. They have had a VERY tough road to semi state and its only going to prepare them for next weeks showdown with Trinity. After they were flat out robbed last season, im pulling for them to get over the hump this year!
MEANGREENMACHINE Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 I think your thinking is correct, ApolloFan98. People should be looking at this defense as a serious matter. This is an incredibly stingy, hard-nosed, uncompromising defense that Trinity will have to recon with. And as for offense, John Wilson has a heart the size of Texas with a no-lose attitude -- a complete, wiry, bandy-legged winner. (I played football with his daddy, so I know what he is made of, BTW!) But this whole TEAM has the winner outlook. And a TEAM they definitely ARE. Trinity better not be looking down the road -- it may just dead end at the Waves of the Ohio river in Brandenburg.
