Ruckert was not committed, when Whyle choose UC over OSU according to you. Guess we will see Saturday, my guy vs. yours. When you gas a kid up, he’s gotta back it up brother.
Scary game for OSU fans, sort of the definition of a trap game. OSU should certainly win by 14-20 points but Luke Fickell is a rising star in the profession. I also think he wants a big boy job and with several SEC doormat jobs soon opening, a win at OSU would make him a made man.
That said I’m going 41-20 OSU, sorry Luke.
My main man @gametime and I get to settle our Jeremy Ruckert vs. Josh Whyle debate. Whyle from Cincinnati told OSU no, at least he told GT that and Meyer had to fall back on Ruckert.
Fields joins his predecessor Dwayne Haskins as the only two Ohio State quarterbacks in the program’s 130 year history to account for five touchdowns in their first start.
We’ll settle for him.
That’s pretty typical though for most of the public schools against the GCL, 9/10 will lose.
I won’t see Anderson in person for a few more weeks but I’ll say this, Anderson has a very potent pass attack. Ala Covcath or Highlands at their peak. What surprises me is Anderson’s starting QB gave up football and Anderson lost an offensive lineman to Notre Dame and they put up 615 yards against SK in week 1. I definitely think the jury is out on SK. Good luck to both squads.
Anderson came back and beat Kings at home a few weeks later in the playoffs. The year before when Covcath won state, Kings hung with them for 3 quarters. That Kings team went 5-5 and missed the playoffs.
Highlands and Anderson in a 10 game series, I’d go Anderson 6-4, Highlands appears to be somewhat back. Covcath would give Anderson all they want. But that’s no different than Anderson playing Lasalle.
Fields goes for 295 yards combined, 5 total TD’s, 4 TD’s passing, 1 rushing. He lacks experience as we saw throughout the game but he’s good enough to play for us.
Far from a finished product, need more out of the Oline and running game.
