Should be the final. Mustangs and Eagles got the tough draw!

These two teams played some tough games this season! Possible 4th match up in the 1st region title game. St Mary has an easier path to that game than the Mustangs!

Calloway beat McCracken twice early in the season. I don't see the Lakers beating the Mustangs 3 times. Yes, the top bracket is loaded.

Marshall might just take the district. Calloway has size, but they lost to Paducah Tilghman recently in what I would describe as a mild upset. As a Mustang fan I would love to see McCracken get another shot at Calloway in the regionals.

Nice win for the Tornado! 5 or 6 different teams could take this region. St. Mary and Tilghman have to beat the other in district just to make it to the region. That's a tough draw.

I usually agree with you sweet16, but I have to give the 2nd the edge this year with 3 teams that can beat anyone in the region on a given night. It would be tougher for Tilghman to do this but they are still a fine team. As concerns the 3rd over the 1st, did you mean an edge over the 1st region? 1st district is kind of weak this year.

Marshall at home seems like a different team. Same can be said for a lot of these schools.

McCracken lost two games to Calloway earlier in the season. If I'm not mistaken, their very first game as a program was a close loss to the Lakers. They have improved nicely since then. I am biased but I give an edge to the Mustangs coming out of the 1st Region.

McCracken could come out of the 1st region. If they play an entire game focused without giving up big runs, I would make them the favorite. 2 or 3 other teams have a legitimate shot; St. Mary, Calloway and Graves. I don't see Tilghman getting past St. Mary in the 2nd district but stranger things have happened.

It will be interesting to see if the Mustangs can give Covington Holmes much of game on Saturday.

I understand Coach Calipari is coming down to Paducah Saturday night to catch some marquee action!

Don't forget Tilghman and Mayfield. Mayfield pressed Calloway big time. Tilghman lost to St Mary but will give it all they've got against the Vikings and Mustangs when these 2nd district rivals hit the court the rest of the season.

Every few years Paducah St Mary comes up with a fine squad. I expect they will give my Mustangs a good run for their money as well.

Good to know. With Mccracken's plethora of guards you'd think the Mustangs would have figured this out.

Amongst McCracken, Tilghman and St Mary a good team will be left out of Regionals from the 2nd district.

I'm pleased the Mustangs traveled to Bowling Green and had a strong tournament.

Should be a great game. Saw my Mustangs play for the first time last week. I must say I was impressed, especially with the guard play!

Nice win! Mustangs should be fun to watch this season. Going to see them against Ballard Memorial tonight. It will be interesting to see how well MCHS can match up with Graves.

Mustangs were up 9 at half. Still not a terrible loss on the road to one of the region's better teams. MCHS should improve.

If folks are coming west to see their teams take on Tilghman, McCracken or Mayfield and they are staying the night, you might take a Saturday trip another hour west to Sikeston, MO to Lambert's. Lambert's is what Cracker Barrel wishes it could be. Just follow US 60 west to the KY/IL/MO border about 30 miles through Ballard Co. and then another 30 miles or so to Sikeston.
