He didn't until after they had dropped all the bombs. Your logic doesn't make the situation right. Even the coach wanted them to run offense, but they didn't listen to him.... The reason St Pat is getting criticized for this game is their behavior in this game....attempting to justify it by other scores is non-starter for sure. It was unnecessary, and if you think that it was ok, then you clearly have a distorted picture of sportsmanship. Oh, and Welcome to BGP....glad to see you could show up to attempt to defend the team actions.

I'll take the time, here goes: 225 high schools in Kentucky @ x 5 per staff (just for fun) = 1125 total possibly coaches attending. 2016 attendance 88,170 over 4 days or we can average 22042 per day That would appear to be .05% if every 5 staff high school coach attended each session / every day. This ain't a RedBook issue by far....

I have not known this coach to be anything but a good coach with high expectations for his players and an unmatched passion for whatever he was coaching. Anyone who implies otherwise In an attempt to impune someone's character does so in poor taste. I'm out..

I'll bite...why ? If you have an invitational tournament, that has a selection criteria to play, and everyone has an equal chance to win, against every other school that fall within the selection criteria, in the state.....How can you possibly say "it is definitely NOT a state championship of any sort" ? I get what side of the fence you are on, and have no issues with an opinion...but your statement is false in its premise....because based on the entrance criteria, it MOST certainly is a State Championship of some sort....just by definition.
