I think to accurately answer this question, we will have to wait until this group of athletes have left. But, I think both schools are pretty close, but Trinity has a great deal of talent right now and appears to be head and shoulders above everyone for now. I think when this group has graduated the gap between Trinity and St. X will narrow somewhat, but Trinity will still be the team to beat.

Before Trinity there was Flaget. And Flaget shut down in 1972. St. X has traditionally been in the #2 spot in the long run - even before Quick and Company and even before Trinity gained from the closing of Flaget. But, yes Quick and company have taken Trinity to another level separating them from not only St. X but the rest of the state.

When did this "run of talent" begin?

 

T has had off and on great talent for many, many years but the wide range of talent around T recently is nothing like it has ever been.

JVs/Freshmen were close games with Manual/X/Male. Things do change and will.
