That's an excuse. He hit a deep three on Kobe a few minutes before that and rimmed a fallaway three right after that. He can create his own shot whenever he wants. After he got the rebound from Williams miss he should have took that shot instead of making a one handed cross court pass.....one of the worst passes to make in the game of basketball. If he shoots...three things happen.....it goes in....it misses and they get the rebound....it misses and the other team rebounds. 2 of those 3 possibilities are good for his team. SHOOT THE BALL LEBRON!!!!!

Magic had killed instinct too. He took the last shot also. Many times. The ball was always in Magic's hands at the end of the game. And there are more Magic game ending shots than passes or turnovers. Keep trying to defend LeBron's lack of will to shoulder all true responsibility at the end of the game. It makes no sense whatsoever to attack the basket the whole game, to get off any shot you want at anytime throughout any game but fail to want to do so when the game is on the line. You can read all those garbage stories about how there are different kinds of greatness. Bull crap. Nobody who was considered great passed up the opportunity to win the game for their team in the closing seconds the way LeBron does. Nobody.

I actually felt a little bad for him. Right when it happened I just smacked my head. It is an All-Star game and it means nothing, but you could tell it meant something to him. I was actually a little happy he was upset with how the game ended.

 

For whatever reason I was absolutely hooked on the all-star game last night. I could not take my eyes off watching it.

That is a weenie article and weenie response. Sorry, just the reality of it.

 

True, he can distribute like Magic and his game may mimic his more than Jordan or Kobe. But he is bigger, stronger, and faster than any of those three (especially Magic) and score at will when he wants. Predominately I think he has avoided driving the ball in the final seconds because taking jumpers or long three pointers (both of which he is not good at) gives a built-in excuse if he misses, and it takes him away from the FT line where he has shown to struggle sometimes. Just my Freudian stance. I know you think we are just "hating" because of our position, but for myself and I know PP92, I get on him so much because I know just by watching him he could be the greatest player ever. He can score easier than anyone I have ever seen. He is one of the better distributors of the ball I have ever seen. He can lock you down defensively. Physically there has never been a player in his stratosphere. I have my favorite players and teams in Pro Sports, but more often than not I end up rooting for greatness. That is what I want to see. Up until this point LeBron has not lived up to what I believe he should be. Now he may now want that, but I hope he does.

 

With that said, this season he has gotten away from shooting the ball from deep. Only 63 attempts this season and hitting at a career best pace because of it.

As I've said in the past many times, have no idea where all this Lebron is too scared to take the final shot talk comes from. He has taken the final shot numerous times in his career and he has both made and missed those shots. Just because there seems to be some kind of trend over the last half of a year doesn't mean everything you guys are assuming and implying. I feel he is still working on figuring out what gives his team the best chance to win (with the Heat) and they are all still trying to find that perfect equilibrium, especially late in games. James plays with a couple of guys who can also be the man at the end of games so I think they are all still trying to figure it out as they go. As for last night I could not tell you why he didn't opt for the last shot but I can tell you that he made the surge to even get them back into the game, and he did make the right decision to get the ball to a wide open Deron Williams who had a wide open look.

Most criticisms are warranted. Whether it be because of his actions on or off the court, feelings about him are because he generated them. To me he always gone away from his strengths in the final moments. That is not the same as avoiding taking jumpers, or giving up the ball. Remember, "The King" is judged by the highest scale.

The trend started his last year in Cleveland and is still evident today. Kind of reminds me of how Chuck Knoblach and how he forgot how to throw it to first base and how Rick Ankiel forgot how to throw it over the plate. It's mental.

 

Nobody is criticizing him for passing it to Williams. It was a good look. His one handed cross court pass that should have been a shot is what brings out the criticism.

 

Kobe is still criticized for being a ball hog. That's all twitter talked about when he started 6/7. Nobody said anything about Durant hogging the ball way worse than Kobe. Both of those guys hog the ball as much as possible in the last 2 minutes. With the exception of maybe Westbrook nobody on their teams would have it any other way. Neither would their fans. Yelled at him right after the turnover also. You should see the look on Melo's face. :lol: He was still yelling at him before he inbounded the ball and CP3 had to come get Kobe and tell him the defense assignments changed. Kobe was heated also. Talked all kinds of trash to LeBron.
