"A Great Scourge May Be Unleashed"

We do have quite a few recycling centers around. But, that's a very limited number of jobs. A lot of places have drop off points, from which the recycling is collected then takent in for recycling at a central center.

I agree it would be nice to see some "green" jobs move in. But, I'm not sure about whether Kentucky has any incentives for luring such companies, nor the logistics of procuring the land for the windmill farms....or even if Kentuckians would welcome them. Having been to Chicago recently, I look at the area north of LaFayette IN in awe.

I wish they would come put a wind turbine in my back field, plenty of wind and I need free energy.

Pay people for bringing in recyclable materials. A little extra cash never hurt anyone.

I thought the numbers were much bigger than that even. Although they're expected to drop with Ohio also adding them. Still huge numbers out there.

What UKM posted is an extemely low estimate....EXTREMELY. Our casino, which is the smallest, can bring in triple that in a peak season month. But even given an uber-conservative figure, that's a lot of moola flowing over the borders right now.

:thumb: I was trying to go with extremely conserative estimates. I would venture the actual totals are more like double what I posted.

I think Frankfort would be the best location in Kentucky for wind energy. The winds are fed by an unending supply of hot air.

Never really thought of it but what are the peak seasons for casinos?

Would prostitution be ok if the money went to the church? How about the profits from drug sales?
Careful now, you should not throw stones from the doorstep of a glass house.

I'd say around Christmas and March-April when most people get tax returns.

Again, depends on the location. But generally the peak travel periods....late spring through early fall.

The week between Christmas and New Year's is huge for casinos. However, the March-April time frame....not so much.
