I think he will yes. I'm sure he is mad he lost about 500 points with the lockout. :lol: When asked about he said he only wanted to get #6 ( Another title) but knowing Kobe I have to believe the scoring title is something he really wants. Lebron will probably break the record he sets anyway if he stays healthy.

He's an OLD 31. If he even plays 5 more years, there is virtually no way he can do so a) at the same high level he's been playing, the entire 5 years, and/or b) for full 82 game seasons.

 

I'd say a 2 point drop off per season could be fair but no one has ever averaged 30 at his age. He keeps proving people wrong so I think he can be above 20 ppg at the end of that run. A few more trips to Germany couldn't hurt. :D

20 ppg - 1640

 

That would be 9840 more points not counting the rest of this year. He should have another 1000 this year.

 

Also Kobe is 33 not 31.
