Best Point Guards in NKY?

Featured Replies

Not to threadjack, but it has been my experience that Owen, Gallatin, or Grant counties should NOT be included when discussing Northern KY counties since most folks in Boone, Kenton, and Campbell counties seem to have a hard time finding their way/navigating out of the "golden triangle" aka Boone, Kenton, and Campbell counties. I have had MANY discussions with Boone County residents thatare surprised to find out that Gallatin County borders Boone, here's your sign.:sssh:
Golden triangle reference is usually reserved for soccer forums (Lex, Ville, and Nky.). Agree with what you're saying though!

I have to defend my Boone County brethren here. If you're looking at a map, the "border" between Gallatin & Boone Counties is probably only 8 - 10 miles long.

And they obviously aren't paying attention when they're traveling 71 South. :D

Well....it is easy to miss.

Don't feel bad Walton is in boone county and we are only allowed to be considered NKY when we are good.

I know you are serious but that is too funny.

Sydney Moss is best point guard in N. KY. She's played a lot of point this year. She can dribble extremely well and makes great passes. I don't think it's even a discussion for best, it's probably who's 2nd best.

Moss is not the best point guard in NKy. I am sure that she would be the first to admit that. She is the best player (IMO).

This seemed like such a simple thread when I first read it.

I live in Western Northern Kentucky (Boone Cty). Clark (NDA)is a true point guard and one of the best, Moss is a power forward although I think she can play point I wouldn't throw her in the discussion of best point guards.

To me a good point guard is one is can handle the pressure, should lead the team in assists and maybe average 5-10 points per game. Also be an excellent free throw shooter. The ability to not turnover the ball is essential. Most point guards are great defenders as well. Pretty tough to find all that in one player.

What? Confused?
No not confused. Just amazed that you would try to enter Sydney into this discussion. While Sydney is a great player and I understand your enthusiasm she's not a contender for Best Point Guard in NKY.

I guess since no one is choosing anyone north of I-275 Ill go with the Bishop Brossrat tandem of Madison Eisenman and Rachel Hartig case closed

True point guard is one who can handle the ball with either hand and KEEP her head up to make that long pass down the court for a lay up, make her team mates BETTER and be able to shoot the ball.

1) R. Gayheart - Owen Cty

2) A. Cheeseman - Ryle

Have yet too see another PG at this level. No disrespect Panda but Clark can not dribble with both hands like a true point guard should.
