They play in the Championship of their tourny tommorrow, I believe. They play the winner of Campbell County and Central Hardin.

If Newport doesnt get it together now then they never will. They suck at playing the team game. Bunch of good individual talent but seems Coach Russell cant get them to play together. Its sad that those guys dont play up to there potential. But its still December they always seem to struggle early but seem to play their best ball towards the end of the season.

A good benchmark for Newport (and I guess Beechwood too) will be when they meet Beechwood again on their own floor in the first round of the All-A in mid-January.

Yeah we'll see how far they have come by then. I guess i can't be too upset cuz with the deep playoff run in football those guys didnt get much practice and I said I wouldnt be suprised if they lost a few games that they shouldnt usually at the beginning of the season.
