I believe they have. There are too many "I's" and not enought "we's". They have no floor general or anyone who has stepped up and taken charge. They have some talent but have not came together as a team. Don't know if they will be able to fix it this year.

How else would you rotate on a 3-2 zone? The point always drops down to the block in order to defend the post.

 

I have seen where the two low guys stay on the blocks and the wings cover the corners dropping down while the point man sags middle. Your asking your point man to cover a ton of ground the way They ran it and Turner did a nice job with his length and athleticism. I'm not questioning it i just haven't seen it in a very long time. It held them to 30 pts so it worked well.

One other, Tanner Moeves hit a couple nice threes that hit nothing but net but I implore you to give me any others.

Wow, nice win for the birds. I too am surprised by the margin of victory. Thought WV was much better.

53-30 and could have been worse after Trame threw in the towel emptying his bench with 5 min left down 20. Coach Flynn then subbed in some of his bench.

 

By the way, not even a boxscore in the Enquirer.

Those Moeves boys are great ball players. Tanner has a nice trey shot, Grant is a solid ball handler. Both young, (Soph and Frosh) so lots of time to improve. From what I have seen, I would not describe either one as a "floor captain". Not saying they could not develop into that role. (was not at game, just commenting.)

A lot of upside with the Moevis boys, both shoot well.

 

WV just seems to lack a strong Power Forward or Center. The big Mosler kid struggles with mobility and looks to have knee problems.

The rumor out of Walton is that one of the star sophmores will not be there next year do to coaching. Plus they all ready had Kinmon leave for same reason, so maybe coaching is a little problem. Have to get guys to buy into what your teaching. But it is just a rumor.

He injured his foot in the first quarter and tried to play the second quarter. His knees are okay.

Oh Yea I will give you that. They were tied at half and WV had a Big 3rd qtr with a 17-1 run. I was referring to Varsity which surprised me with their lack of intensity and interest.
