Having watched you play, it's fortunate for Mitch that he gets his football talent from his mother's family; not the Dee family. J/K (well sort of)

 

On a serious note, I expect the Birds to have a very, very good O line this year. Lots of returning experience and talent. They'll have decent size but very good quickness and mobility.

Walton returns 5 offensive linemen from last years squad. They will be anchored by 6'6 310 lbs. tackle Cole

Mosier. David Carr, Jon Perdue and Ben Whelan average near 230 to 250 lbs. and all return as starters from last year. There are also several spot starters from last year that will contend for positions on the line. This will be a strong unit.:thumb:

 

I agree. The line was a major concern going into last season, replacing all 5 starters from a very productive offense in 2010. The group came together well after a rough opener at Bellevue, averaging well over 300 yds a game and close to 30 pts a game, which unfortunately included 2 shut-out losses. I believe all but one are back from last year's group, which should bode well for another exciting season for the Bearcats.

Prior to the start of the 2006 season, there were those who said the O-line at CovCath was going to be their down fall but up steps the next man and sure enough at the end of that season they were considered one of the best O-lines around! Oh and they won a state title that year, with that so called weak offense line that so many were worried about prior to the start of the season. Not to worry CovCath fans, the CovCath O-line will be just fine in 2012!
