December 21, 201114 yr Do you leave them on when no one is home, etc? I have mine, simply because I forgot. It has a tip-over switch, though we have no pets to do that. It does not get hot in front of the unit, but it still warms the room nicely. The thermostat works great, too. I used keep him bundled up and would have to warm his room up to give him a bed bath, not anymore. It keeps Dad's room a toasty 79 all of the time. Just like he likes it.
December 21, 201114 yr Just found a site with an EdenPure for $229. Now...the dilemma. Go ahead and order it, or wait till after Christmas?
December 21, 201114 yr I'm not sure....I have to go back to the site. It did say normally $475 though. It was at some place like Gary's Army Navy Surplus or something like that. Glenn's...that's it....Glen's Army Navy something or 'nother.

December 23, 201114 yr I've had an EdenPURE heater for about 5 years. It is very economical (doesn't suck the juice) and puts out the heat. I feel very comfortable with leaving it on while I am gone. Mine still works great and I wouldn't have any other heater.
