I will participate in worthy discussions. But when people start throwing around terms like "Obamunists", I'll read and not participate.

Are you OK with the regulations of the Obama EPA causing all of our home energy bills to go up 19%? Are you OK with companies that will now have to pay more for energy passing those costs onto consumers? That will pretty much negate the little nugget that Obama threw us with his "tax holiday" won't it.

 

And FWIW the Obama supporters were silent before I called them Obamunists.

I'll give it a shot. What the heck does the Federal clean air act have to do with Obama? I fail to see the link between a law passed in 1970 and last amended in 1990 and the current president but to the original poster you're welcome.

All standards were raised when Obama became president and he gave the EPA broader powers to do his bidding. Read the links provided in post 2 to get an idea of how Obama side-stepped congress to implement these job destroying, price raising policies.

How did you arrive at the 12 dollar a year figure?

For those that aren't ok with this, answer me this. Are you really comfortable living in a world where in the next 100 years the air quality will be so poor your great grandchildren won't have air to breath. This goes way beyond global warming, in cities with high smog rates asthma in children are at all time highs.

Commando, you're a "free market" guy. If you don't like the higher rates you can not use the service or go with something cheaper. Chop wood, change to propane, use solar or wind. You don't have to take this.
