I dont believe he will be with the team in any capacity in the future.

Don't think Stults is the man for the job, Mrs. Farris will be able to get the right man. She will not use the "good Ole boy" system that has gotten us the less than stellar football we have endured since Columbia took the helm. Gutsy move on Mrs. Farris' part, but she has the best interest of the student athletes as her main interest. If a young man is willing to pour his heart and soul into something make sure he has the best tools to use! Columbia should have walked away and left well enough alone. This will only hurt the program so many said he cared about. Obviously not the case!

If Paul telling the truth hurts the program then Paul isn't the one to blame for hurting it in my opinion. Only people with agendas that aren't best for everyone want things done behind closed doors, in secret, or lied about to cover the agenda.

While he may not have had a stellar year this year, he has fielded some pretty good teams (at least three seasons of 8+ wins, and a district championship).

I have seen the talent he had to work with year in and year out. The middle schools were winning championships with the same players he couldn't break 500 with. Sometimes as grown-ups we have to suck it up and move on. Take your lumps for the team and move on! It is part of what some call character. Walk away with your chin up and head high knowing you did your best. Slinging mud is only going to hurt everyone involved.

Obviously you have a more personal reason to defend Mr. Columbia than you let on. He may be a fine man with all the best intentions in the world, but his record speaks for itself. I have never been a fan and am not now, I hope everything works out for Paul and wish him no ill will, it is time for a change simple as that.I hope Clark County football moves in a new direction and we become a competitive part of 6a football, nothing more nothing less. I will sit with anticipation as the school board seeks his replacement, and hope the winning tradition returns to GRC!

So we now know he didn't resign, regardless, this has to be one of the best opportunities in central KY. Who wants the job?

Prep Football: Interest heavy in Clark coaching vacancy

 

The search for a new football coach at George Rogers Clark is officially under way.

The school posted the vacancy on Dec. 19 after former coach Paul Columbia was dismissed after 13 seasons on Dec. 16. Applications will be accepted through Jan. 19 and Clark principal David Bolen has set a timetable of Feb. 3 for hiring a new coach.
