1. Offense has established team control in the frontcourt

2. Offense is the last to touch the ball in the frontcourt

3. Offense is the first to touch in the backcourt.

 

If you can check off all 3 you have a violation.

I asked the follow-up because you were right on the first scenario but not entirely for the right reason.

 

Your "last to possess the ball" caused you to be incorrect on the second scenario. Once the shot goes up there is no team control so the tipping scenario I described is immaterial since no team ever gained control. You no longer can check the 3 requirements I listed previously.
