December 18, 201312 yr I'm going to throw a couple names out there. Keep this in mind I am a 21 year old kid, who reads nothing but fantasy. I just started to read hardcore the past 3-4 years so my list will be hindered a bit. Well here it goes. George RR Martin- While he dont pump out a new book every year or so, his writing is so addictive its top notch writing to me. Steven Erickson- Not very well known but his series A Malazan Book of the Fallen is flat out amazing. The deepest, and most complex book series I've ever read. Robbin Hobb- Just a huge fan of her works. Stephen R Donaldson- Even though he couldn't put the thesaurus down while writing, his books are still great. Up and coming fantasy authors Brandon Sanderson- The guy who is completing the Wheel of Time series, has put out amazing books. In all of his books, he comes up with GREAT magic systems. Joe Abercrombie- The first law trilogy is great. Patrick Rothfuss- While he only has 2 books so far, both of them are amazing. :lol::thumb:

I really loved the first 3 books, this sounds weird, but I just couldn't will myself to get into them anymore. Loved the whole Chain of Dogs story arc but the jumps all around were too much :lol2:
December 19, 201312 yr I really like Grisham and King...I like the books that I have read by David Baldacci. For pure relaxation and entertainment value I love Tom Clancy, I know that many literary snobs look down their nose at Clancy but he was a fantastic story teller and wrote in a genre that I enjoy reading. Dale Brown has also written a few books in the Clancy Genre that I really liked. Personally I enjoy Non-Fiction as much if not more than Fiction. I like reading opposing views on the same subject.
