OMG no way? You can't be serious? Had any of you guys heard about this? :D

In all seriousness though I am glad they waited until after the Michigan game. At least they tried to be professional about the situation.

As for the Bucks though as much as I hate to say it they are back. They lose Tressel and end up with an even better coach, unbelievable. I've said it before and will continue to say it, Braxton Miller in the Urban Meyer spread is going to be unstoppable.

Yeah makes you kind of sick to your stomach when you get this info crammed down your throat all week, you know its going to happen but all parties involves still deny it. But like I said, glad they waited until after the Michigan game it was the right thing to do. Would had been better if it were more tight lipped but still good hire. I just hate to see all the denial for something everyone knows is for sure.

As for the first statement I 100% agree, Meyer repotedly had told them that he wanted to wait untill after the Michigan game.

As for your last remark, I understand and also agree with except for I love it. :D

I agree with you. With Meyer working for espn they just had to leak it. I believe that Meyer probably did want it kept quiet.

I think that with more possible sanctions coming from the NCAA that Meyer will still be able to recruit well. This imo was important to name him as soon as possible for recruiting purposes and Meyer can recruit, no doubt about that.

All the NCAA stuff will just be tiny road bumps for them going forward. Meyer has a good record at BGSU, Utah, and Florida so I'm sure now he's the man they will not go after them any harder and trust they are in good hands with Urban. They have already lost game, players have already been suspended, and Tressel ended up losing his job. OSU may lose a couple scholarships and end up on probation but I don't see a bowl band or anything like that. I don't see any of the past trouble hurting them going forward. I look for them to be a Top 5 program after next season and will continue to be that kind of program until Meyer leaves or unless something else happens and they violate their probation.

I would be blown away if Herby leaves ESPN to go. He was asked about it Saturday morning on Sports Center before gameday and he said he would like to eventually coach some time down the road but was loving what he was currently doing too much to leave right now.

I think it's going to take Urban a couple years (2-3 seasons) to have Ohio State back to an "elite" level. The scholarship hit they're most likely going to take from NCAA sanctions is going to hurt, even with Meyer's ability to recruit.

Hope Herby doesn't go. I like him on ESPN.

Just spoke and said he wants to coach but has 4 sons who play sports and might want to do so when they get into high school. Has a desire to coach at college, but didn't he move from the Buckeye fans recently? You never know when he gets an offer, I hope he stays.

I was just logging on to recall that. Even though it was in that article, Herbstriet was just on sportscenter and stated that the repotts about him were false, that he was not going to be the qb coach or any asst. coach.

I know it was in the article, thats why I posted. I aologize for it being false.
