Clay wins!

70-53 Clay.

Interesting score what has happened to the up and down style?

It was up and down. Neither team could scored. Clay was up 6-0 in the first minute of the game. 15-5 at the end of the first. From then on out they let Coach Hayes and the Jackson County fans get in their heads. Both teams ran the whole night, the shots just weren't falling. Good win for the Tigers, and the Generals played with everything in them. Good game by both teams.

You pick a 17-point win, they win by five and it's still a good win and good game by both teams?

What did Hayes and the crowd do to make CC not score? Maybe they just can't shoot. That's a bad problem to have in BB, but from what I hear CC hasn't been able to score from outside 15 ft. in a long time.

They were scoring at will in the first quarter. Then Coach Hayes pulled his normal Clay County game antics out and got the fans fired up, and Clay's boys didn't know what to do.

Any win on the road in the 13th is a good win. Especially when it's a rivalry like Clay County and Jackson County. Both teams played hard, it was a basketball game you love to watch because the kids were playing with everything they had.

They didn't know what to do? Clay County?

That's not a good sign for a team with that many seniors and that much experience. Clay shouldn't be intimidated by playing in Jackson County. They play there every year.

It would be a much better excuse if they just had a bad game. I have trouble believing Clay played well and only won by five.

Clay is a senior dominated team, but I don't know if I would call them very experienced. Sizemore and Jones have played alot. This is Swafford's first year of seeing a lot of varsity action. Hibbard started last year but when it got deep in the season he didn't see much action besides the first few minutes of the game. Richard Jones hasn't played since he was a Sophomore. Hobbs and Lewis are both very young. So I don't know if I would consider them having a lot of experience.

Three returning senior starters = experience

Three returning senior starters = experience

I'm not going to argue with you. I'm proud of the young men from Clay. Hopefully they can get things together and play like they have the first 4 minutes of the last 2 games. The only thing they need is time. When they start playing there isn't many teams can beat them.
