Congratulations. You made a moron, look like a moron.

Who is the moron? I hope you're not referring to yourself or my guy Marvel.

Sometimes when the message isn't getting across it's th messenger so maybe you're saying I'm a moron. J/K.

No one is trying to make anyone look foolish.

Maybe I'm the only one that found it interesting/ironic. Not the first time.

Grover is the moron, Clyde. I wouldn't personally attack you or Marvel (we might as well be brothers).

I understood what you meant from the beginning, and you made yourself clear.

Maybe your last line is my problem, no offence to you, sir. :p

You want a mature debate or do you want to just throw out childish insults? If it's the former, count me in.

Yeah, I'm the first to give a president a funny nickname.

Or is it just that infuriating for someone to come up with a nickname for the patron saint of all conservatives? Is he somehow off-limits?

I would say it's infuriating for someone to insult the POTUS with the highest popularity rating of all time. We should all be off-limits for childish insults, if you want to downgrade Reagan, do it intelligently.

Absolutely none taken. My wife will tell you I find a lot of things interesting that 99% of the world could care less about.

Nothing wrong with that!

Ronald Reagan later said he regretted going along with the tax increases. The Dems promised future spending reductions in return for immediate tax increases, but the Dems never delivered. It is a good history teaching point that trading tax increases for spending cuts do not work.

He didn't regret raising taxes.

He regretted agreeing to raise taxes but then having the other side renege on their deal.

Grover would have still called him a "rat head."

Clyde, I can see where you're coming from and see why you would think it is ironic. I'm just not sure if Grover would of campaigned against him. Ghandi preached against war yet he supported quite a few as well as won a few medals. Would you consider it ironic if I had a bust of Ghandi while I was vehemently against war no matter the reason? Would it be outrageous for me to vote for him?

know it all would never call me a moron.

Could Grover have made it any more obvious in his answers in this interview? He would not have gone Ghandi on President Reagan.

A separate debate could center around the amount of power Grover has and is it healthy.

I'm all for it but what power does he have besides taxes in the GOP? In regards to is it healthy, absolutely not. Politicians should be ashamed to sell out to lobbyists. Even though I disagree with raising taxes, he is in no position to dictate that.

Grover has power because politicains allow him to have it over them. If they go back on the pledge they shouldn't of signed, he gives their primary opponent a hefty chunk of change to oust the incumbent. In the video he sounded like a little weasel and I can't stand people like this. I wish we had more Alan Simpson's in congress.

So, popularity is the deciding factor shielding a president from ridicule, eh? Interesting. Wonder what "Slick Willy" thinks about that …

How about what determined his popularity? Interesting.
