Rainey to the two.

Called this lackluster performance from the Tigers. I honestly believe they just get bored until the lights are on.

WKU should never have tried to throw it. I understand it was close and maybe it called for it, but it's just not what they do well.

Jones stuffed at the one on 4th down. LSU takes over on downs. Nice try. I like Taggert's grit.

What's kept them as close as they are, to this point, is that they are doing what they do not do well.

Jefferson intentionally grounds a pass while in the end zone. Safety.

They're doing that out of necessity. Granted, it has worked better than usual, but I wouldn't be betting on it often.

If I have three downs from the two yard line with Jakes as my QB, I'm going to run it three times.

Jakes should have thrown that away. LSU intercepts.

Blue up the middle. TD Tigers.

2:53 left in the third.

Exhibit A.

Taggert knew he was going to have to change things up to have a chance. It worked for a while. My hat's off to him.

Like I said above, I understand that and it really was the only way he could compete. All I'm saying is from where they were on the field when they called the pass, I wouldn't have done it because I'd feel confident my line could get the yard with two tries. Jakes just can't be relied on.

WKU drives it right down the field after LSU scores.

If nothing else, the Toppers have done what Bama couldn't.

End of third.

The Tigers are exerting their will, now.
