November 13, 201114 yr Called this lackluster performance from the Tigers. I honestly believe they just get bored until the lights are on.
November 13, 201114 yr WKU should never have tried to throw it. I understand it was close and maybe it called for it, but it's just not what they do well.
November 13, 201114 yr Author Jones stuffed at the one on 4th down. LSU takes over on downs. Nice try. I like Taggert's grit.
November 13, 201114 yr Author WKU should never have tried to throw it. I understand it was close and maybe it called for it, but it's just not what they do well. What's kept them as close as they are, to this point, is that they are doing what they do not do well.

November 13, 201114 yr What's kept them as close as they are, to this point, is that they are doing what they do not do well. They're doing that out of necessity. Granted, it has worked better than usual, but I wouldn't be betting on it often. If I have three downs from the two yard line with Jakes as my QB, I'm going to run it three times.
November 13, 201114 yr Author Exhibit A. Taggert knew he was going to have to change things up to have a chance. It worked for a while. My hat's off to him.
November 13, 201114 yr Taggert knew he was going to have to change things up to have a chance. It worked for a while. My hat's off to him. Like I said above, I understand that and it really was the only way he could compete. All I'm saying is from where they were on the field when they called the pass, I wouldn't have done it because I'd feel confident my line could get the yard with two tries. Jakes just can't be relied on.
November 13, 201114 yr WKU drives it right down the field after LSU scores. LSU 7 WKU 7 If nothing else, the Toppers have done what Bama couldn't.
