Does anyone have any insight as to why Manual called a timeout with less than 30 seconds left in the game? I am positive the referee was not going to make T run another play???

Maybe to put a kid in who was a Senior? :idunno: They had one more to use and didn't.

The referee had just informed T that they did not have to run another play. Conspiracy theorists might think Dr. Lucas was trying to bait Coach Beatty into throwing over the top, but Beatty didn't take the bait. Bigger question is why would Dr. Lucas want to do this???

My guess is that he had something he wanted to say to his kids before the game ended.

Maybe if Dr. Lucas had not made those statements prior to the first game...............................
