There even is room for some friendly banter back and forth between the student sections. But when a student section as a whole is cheering a swear-word, there is a serious line that has been crossed. There were small children everywhere, and this happened several times. I felt it was truly an embarrassing moment for the school. Calling the Ludlow kids "River Rats" is one thing, many schools do, but do not bring your act of thugs in to our gym and use disrespectful language around our youth.

Back to the discussion, I witnessed the CovCath student section at the last 9th Region Tourney and one or two of the students were getting well out of bounds. I do not remember at all what they were doing, but the point here is that the CovCath administrators were all over it and stopped it very quickly and effectively.

I know last year against CovCath our student section was reprimanded for chanting "Roman Orgy" when the CovCath student body started jumping up and down in togas.....If it's not a profanity, I say it's fair game....

I will say this for CovCath and that is that they always have a admistrator right don't in front of their student cheering section and if anyone starts to get the least bit out of line they put an immediate stop to it. I personally have always found them to be very entertaining.

 

Quite honestly there are many adults that don't know how to behave themselves at games and every school seems to have one or two. I know of one at a particular Class A school that always sits down in front and constantly barks out instructions to his kid and many of the others and is constantly on the refs. back. He makes a fool of himself and I feel sorry for his kid. Fans at this particular school are embarassed by this guy.
