Getting ready to buy a Tablet(Xoom, Galaxy, Ipad, etc.) - suggestions?

I believe ESPN has an app for the IPad.
ESPN iScore is $10 on the iPhone. There are several free versions for the iPhone which I'm sure the iPad has as well.

Out of the free apps, the best rated one is something called GameChanger. I've been playing around with the demo and it is very easy to use. One thing that seems interesting is by logging on to their site you can provide live play-by-play, stats, spray charts, and game recaps. This could be extremely useful for people to follow along that aren't there.

My wife has the Galaxy Tab and loves it.

One main focus of this is going to be stat keeping for basketball....anyone here ever used an app for that?

Yep. There are two that I know of that are good. I'll look up the names for you when I am at my iPad and get back with you. I know that our girls team had an assistant coach keep stats this way all season last year.

I realize I read the original post as baseball, not basketball as it should be. Sorry for the confusion.

The two that I have are Digital Scout and Easy Score Hoop Stats. The first one allows you to use online tools to print reports and do cummulative stats.

I have decided to go with an Ipad, but not the 3g one. Anyone have one they have tether to a phone? Easy?

I got the Galaxy for Christmas and I love it. I can finally view videos which I couldn't do on my PC.
