I wish the Braves luck. I played with those guys and you probably know who I am. He was the best player when I was a senior and he was just a sophomore. He makes everyone around him better. They will miss him. I encourage you to keep bashing him. He is the type of player that gains from it.

Nothing negative at all. Still waiting for your answer about the schedule.

Most of the teams on their schedule make sense. Carrol, Waltom, W-Town, Gallatin, and OWen are in the 8th. St. Henry is a tough team. Villa is not a push over. That leaves Calvary and Bellevue as question marks. In a world of scheduling conflict, title 9, and gas prices games just fall into place.

 

@ Bracken and @ Lloyd. Those are good games. Someone even said that Eminence is better. We live in a region with several 'A' Schools.

I think Grant Co. will have a good chance of going to the regional tournament this year. They will probably find multiple "A" schools when they're there.

You missed the point! I didn't say they would win anything! The thread is about them playing too many "A" schools. I was merely pointing out that because a school is a class "A" does NOT mean they are weak or a pushover! ex: Shelby Valley winning State! There is NOT a team mentioned in this thread that would have been able to beat that "A" school that year.

I don't think anyone on here has said that a school is weak or a pushover because they are class 'A'. The reality and perception of scheduling numerous class A schools sends off a few messages. One being that someone is worried about the way a record looks. Another is that they want this team to have confidence in themselves by getting W's. This tactic may work when they go play in the district.

But then again, if you didn't assume that "A" schools are somehow weaker opponents, then the question of scheduling 19 of them would never be raised. I was comparing who Grant Co. has played in the past (Scott Co, Lexington Cath, Ryle, Conner, Boone) with who they have scheduled recently. Coach Kinmon worried more about his team getting better than he did about how his record looked.
