LBJ was awful in '09-'10 Eastern Conference semi-finals against Boston too. Completely gave up.

I am. Just saying that if he wins 8 straight titles(bugatti's standard) then he is the greatest ever, not just the greatest in 2011.

Egotistical and glorified Scottie Pippen. However, I don't think the the Heat can win with LeBron shrinking in bug moments. He HAS to deliver on the hype AND win titles for his legacy to be what it should be.

And if he wins 8 straight finals(your words) then that means he conquered his fears to become the greatest player ever.

Possibly... with that said he opted to go for the path of least resistance in obtaining his titles. Mental make-up to me comprises a lot of who a player is which is why I said that I can understand completely why he is ranked #1, but that I could not pull the lever for that vote.

 

The only thing that can get LeBron a best-player ever legacy is not having Dwayne Wade there as his sidekick, so that ship has sailed (barring an injury). I am not downing his decision to go to Miami, it is just the reality of the situation in my eyes.

I tend to agree. That ship has sailed. He was the first guy who had the potential to top Jordan as the greatest of all time, but he's not going to get there. I'm sure there will be another at some point.

That is a fkyw dream scenario. Especially with Wade stepping up!

For me, 8 in a row. Nothing else will satisfy that for me mainly because he went to Miami. It is expected that he win titles in Miami. If he wins 8 in a row then he obviously became the leader of the team and actually leads the team at some point. He still has Wade and we all know if Magic had Bird they would have been expected to win every title. It's only right that he does something unexpected and unprecedented to be able to pass the likes of Kobe, Bird, Magic.

Let's not forget Kobe still has a few more years to go. What if he gets to 8 titles?

 

 

That's a PP92 dream scenario. If Kobe does that I am going to make a sign that says 'Kiss the Rings' and stand outside of MJ's house on Kobe's birthday.
