Having coached for forever, and having raised sons (who have turned out pretty good so far thank you Jesus), and spending all my adult life around young people, you have to know kids make dumb mistakes. Does this let them off the hook...NO!!! But to take this to the length some on here have done is silly. If the proper persons (specifically parents, not sure how much responsibility outside of sport specific discipline a coach should bear) have handled this then good enough for me. Some person who should remain nameless needs to get over it...sounds like its a done deal from what I've read...just my two cents...

Thats ok, so at least the one who done the rapping knows who to confront and deal with on publishing it. You may want to question, the players values to say such horrific things.....but he is who he is. However, their are more boards than this one. Go to the seonepreps.com and see what a few are calling for. I believe the young man has learned from this,at least I hope so. In this day in time,you dont say the "N" word,nor the "F" word for gays. If he or any of the kids want to drink,smoke the dope,or whatever else they do underage,let their parents deal with it. Some parents have no problem with it.

As, for the video, MANY were appalled and upset, ONCE THE VIDEO got released, it could be seen by anyone,thus MANY could be offended,thus it became a different animal...so to speak. It was made PUBLIC,worldwide. The content of the videos that became PUBLIC could and did offend people, thus possibly a public apology should be made. Crash, you are so wrong on the "bold" attempt. Merely saying, someone needed to talk to the young man, about right and wrong,and being RESPONSIBLE for ones actions. I hope and pray him and ALL the youth of our country succeed to the highest levels.That is my firm belief. Had my child said and done such, they would be held responsible and humbled into apologizing to all.

Thanks Crash, and it is my belief. It is very hard to believe the coach was made aware before it came out,just don't see a kid telling on himself,and whoever released it is not much of a friend. The long necks belong to someone else? ,pass the buck, we know kids who know the young man. Getting the young man to know you can't be saying the things he did, and not be held accountable. Dealing with the coach and his punishment once he found out was one thing, when the "friend" released it to the whole world to see,it is a different animal, the young man,thus isn't only dealing with coach,but owes many an apology. I hope the young man does well,and hope he understands that everyone must be tolerate. Maynard is responsible to the public as it was his player who really cut loose on a young christian boy from Fairview, he has punished him already, but no apologies once it was released to the public.Raceland is above this. This one's done. A warning was placed about rule #8, and some simply don't get it.
