Mayfield looks to stay undefeated, while the Panthers have won 5 of their last 6. Who wins?

Mayfield will keep winning streak alive, although Russellville will provide better game than the last two opponents.

Considering Mayfield has the stingiest defense in the entire state, points wise (48 total), I can't see R'ville getting more than 1 score. 45-6 Mayfield

Mayfield 41-7.

Rsville is playing better than they were early in the season and some of that youth has grown up and they'll want to prove something to Mayfield in this game, especially at home and although I think Mayfield has to much firepower for them, I do expect Rsville to compete hard in this game. I think the Cardinals offense will methodically grind out 28to 35 1st half points and there defense will play stout and either shut the Panthers down or give up no more than 1 score. The Cardinals will likely tack on a couple more scores in the 3rd qtr and play there JV in the 4th, where they'll probably give up another score. I see it being something like 42-14, maybe 49-14. Joe won't run the score up nor risk injury to his starters if the games in hand..

I hope it is a running clock game, but, Coach Joe's M.O. in games like this it to get a comfortable lead and then exclusively pound the ball on the ground and run out the clock in the 2nd half and use alot of subs to keep the starters healthy. Wouldn't surprise me if Mayfield goes up 42-0 or so by halftime and then coasts the rest of the game and it end up being in the neighborhood of 7-7 or 14-7 either way in the 2nd half and I don't expect any different here..
