Beechwood Frosh vs. Moeller (OH) Frosh on 10-20

Featured Replies

Beechwood is hosting Moeller this Thursday (10-20) in a Freshman matchup. (6 PM) Anyone know how good Moeller is and how BW will match up with them?

It's Moeller. Their freshman team is almost surely better than any other freshman team in N. Ky. In fact, my guess is this isn't Moeller's "A" team. They probably have an A team and a B team. The Moeller B team is probably better than most N. Ky. freshman teams. Beechwood probably isn't playing their A team. I would guess this is either their B team or maybe a mix of their A and B team. Regardless, very exciting to see how this Beechwood freshman team does against a great program like Moeller. The Beechwood freshmen are still undefeated, aren't they?

Beechwood has a freshman player who's dad coaches varsity at Moeller. I guess in this situation you gotta cheer your son on. Good luck to both teams.

And that player is a stud!

Either way, I would be interested in knowing more about Moeller's Frosh team. My gut feeling is this is a bad move by Beechwood that could put a sour end on a fantastic season.

Yes he is!!

Are the freshman playoffs over? Does anyone have any details either way?

Beechwood will play Newport Central Catholic a week from Thursday for the small school division title. I believe NCC's only lost the one game to Beechwood.

I think Beechwood is just trying everything they can to get games scheduled for their freshman team. With all the issues with the other small schools not even having freshman teams, Beechwood's freshman team has only played maybe 6 games. They may get trounced but at least it is another game, more experience and an opportunity to challenge yourself to get better.

Correct, 28-14, and I believe all their wins (6 or 7) are shutouts.

From what I have heard from the Beechwood people this is the Moeller b squad. Still does not mean they are not very good..............
