Agree or Disagree?

I think Ashland, Rockcastle and Madisonville should be 4, 5 and 6 with Boyle at 7 with JCentral and FSimpson at 8 and 9..No problem with Lone Oak getting in at #10, but, not sure if they're as deserving as Knox Central or JTown just yet..

Jeffersontown is in 5A. Knox Central lost 34-14 to a Harlan County team that's ranked in 5A. Lone Oak held a fourth-quarter lead and lost 32-27 to a Christian County team that's ranked ahead of Harlan County.

Did anything change from last week?

I still think Rockcastle ahead of JC and that would be my only change but I am ready for the playoffs to see how this all shakes out. Going to be a lot of fun come November. We could see Boyle/Knox or Boyle/Russell County right off the bat, correct?

I appears that way. Boyle seems the likely #2 in their district and Russell and Knox both are just behind Rockcastle. That district could end up in a 3-way tie, as well, if Knox can beat Rock but loses to Russell. So we'll have to wait and see. Either way, should be a very tough first round game for Boyle County.

Correct.

Knox Central and Rockcastle County play next Friday and then Knox plays Russell County the week after that. We'll know a lot more about how the postseason will shake out once those games are completed.

You're correct. My bad on Jtown. As far as Lone Oak is concerned, I have no problem with them being in the rankings and they did play Christian Co tough, but, then again, so did Ft Campbell and they were blown out by Tilghman. Lone Oak was also blown out by Tilghman. With those 2 comparable scores, you'd have to think that Tilghman is better than Christian or CC had 2 really bad games. So, not sure playing Christian tough is a reason to put them in the Top 10 just yet. Knox did lose by 20 to Harlan, who may be better than Christian or at least as good, but, they have no other bad games like Lone Oak has had. It could go either way though. Russell Co may be the real team being snubbed here. If Rockastle is as good as they appear to be and Russell played right with them as there only loss, then maybe they deserve a ranking more than either Lone Oak or Knox...

The Lone Oak-Tilghman game was an aberration, a case of a team having to change their gameplan with the loss of two of their best players two days before the game, not to mention all the distractions caused by the publicity of the situation. If Tilghman and Lone Oak played again, it would be a close game.

Tilghman was down 7-3 to Fort Campbell until the final play of the third quarter. For three quarters, the game was much closer than the final score would indicate.

Russell has given up a lot of points, but they're obviously pretty good. In 4A, there may be 12-14 teams that can make a decent case for a top-10 ranking.
