cnc78 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 This is the game of the season for both Campbellsville and the Jackets! The winner of this contest will likely be the district champs. The Burg goes on the road for this one. Coach Herron has masterminded this schedule perfectly. The long trip to Allen Central two weeks ago has the jackets ready for a long road trip this week. The open week allowed some healing to occur, and the Jackets are as healthy as they have been in awhile. This one will be a dog fight, as every years contests have been. The Burg has never beaten the Eagles at Campbellsville, and hold home court advantage at Rose Stanfill Stadium. The Eagles are very physical and will have a bit of a size advantage. Williamsburg appears to have a touch more speed. This should be a great game for district bragging rights! Who's your pick? More later in the week...
Redzone Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I think the Jackets will pick up the win late in the game. Jackets 32-26
TRENCHMASTER Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 This will be a tough game. In the end I think the W'burg has a little more and pulls out a tough fought game 28-22.
oldrambler Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 I am pulling for and predicting W-Burg. Williamsburg 21 Campbellsville 15
cnc78 Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 Good day of practice for the Jackets yesterday. It was great to see the numbers back up with those who have returned from injury. This is going to be a dog fight and I think the coaches are setting the right tone this week. The scary thing for the Burg is that they are so young and so many of these kids have not been in the pressure cooker that is Campbellsville.

cnc78 Posted October 5, 2011 Author Posted October 5, 2011 Anyone still expected to be out this week? So far so good . We are as healthy as we have been in quite awhile.
sidelinedoc Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 I am glad to hear the injuries are healing. Time to step it up and get that #1 spot for the Playoffs.
oldrambler Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 So far so good . We are as healthy as we have been in quite awhile. That's great to hear cnc :thumb:. Now Jackets, go get a win.
cnc78 Posted October 6, 2011 Author Posted October 6, 2011 Well its Thursday again and thus prediction time. The Jackets face the looong bus ride to hostile Eagle territory tommorrow. They have yet to beat Campbellsville at the Eagle's nest. Practice has been very focused and intense this week with many from the MASH unit restored to health. Campbellsville is talented and has a big back that can pound the rock. The Burg overcame a long trip and adversity to eke out a win at Allen Central in their last game. It appears to be a contest of Williamsburgs explosive speed vs. the Eagles hard hitting ground attack. This may be one of those settled on the final possesion. I think the Burg can score, but the question is can they stop the Eagles....As always I'm a homer and am going to pick the Jackets to win 28-24
