Highlands 29 Dixie 28 (Frosh)

Featured Replies

Very exciting game as the score would indicated.

I have been reading all season about Johnson, Harrison, and Owens. Now you can add me to the list of football fans impressed with these three guys. Dixie has a nice team and they execute pretty well. Don't throw much, maybe 5 times total, but when they did they made plays.

HHS first touchdown was all Jensen Feggins - WR screen and he weaved through 6 defenders for the score. Urlage again came up big when needed, running for one score and throwing the halfback pass for another.

Gained about 2 and 1/2 yards.

So why did he say it gained 6 yards? Am I not following what he's saying?

On the Dixie pass and long run I couldn't believe Venemann caught him from behind. The Dixie player had a good 10yds on him..Venemann can flat out fly..

Is he by chance #85?

Really dont know what to say about this game other then Good, the Birds won. It was just an unfortunate set of circumstances by one referee that basically made tonite all about him and not the kids. Too bad sir, I am disgusted that you used your position of authority to disrepect young kids and abuse the game of Football.

Is he by chance #85?

Yep

Yep

He is one of the few frosh I've seen this year that physically looks like a varsity player.

He definately could be a special player..

He is about 6'1" and 185 lbs and very hard to match up with 1 on 1. The bad news for the HHS opponents is I don't think he is fully recovered from the pre-season high ankle sprain he suffered.

The only question I would have is why doesn't he ever play defense? With his size and strength he would make a nice OLB/DE.

Griffin Urlage took total control of this game in the second half. We all always knew Griffey had this potential but rarely showed it in dominate fashion but he certainly had a nice coming out party tonite.

I give the Dixie kids credit for playing their hearts out tonite.

Dixie definately has some nice players..

Ball placed on 3. Use 4-5 yd snap for wildcat. Handoff in draw form. Tackled at about the three. If ran power with same outcome, would have been good. Either way these two will meet in the future. Should be fun.

I see. So if it was stopped at the LOS it would have gained 5 yards?

They will never meet again if it doesnt happen in a few weeks.
