I agree, they'll find a role for him....I mean they have to, he is too good of athlete this year just to be the backup punter.

How many sophs do the Birds have that don't play JV due to Varsity...just curious.

 

I wasn't at the game last night, but at the last reserve game I saw, Highlands had at least 3 sophomores that didn't play reserves. Harris, Hope and Schweitzer were the ones, I noticed, that didn't play.

TOG, Harris plays Varsity. #35 for HHS is Jalen Hayes. He had some huge runs and hits. Yes, it was a competitive game. Great to see!

 

I am indeed sorry, and apologize for my mistake. Sad thing is I had a HHS roster right in front of me when I did it but I was trying to shovel down some dinner and type out this report at the same time.

A few guys that really looked like they didnt belong on the JV level imo and could fill in at Varsity spots right now were Hayes (bruising type rb) giving the hits and not taking them last nite, Thomas Wroebleski -LB kid has a nose for the ball, Cochran-LB that kid is just mad at somebody.....................Green might be one of the fastest kids in NKY and Hergott is a stud in the making.

On the other side of the ball CovCath has great size as always and some great looking athletes. Enjoy the ride boys..................

Congratulations to the Ft. Thomas Highlands JV football team as they defeat the Covington Catholic JV team by a score of 28-13 in a very hard hitting and competitive JV football game held at Highlands on Monday evening.

 

Stars for HHS were #35 Harris, 44 Donovan and their Qb #10 Houliston and the O-line of HHS.

 

The CovCath stars were #10 Dressman, #7 Summe and #84 Braun and I am going to give a shout out for #17 Schmahl, #23 Howard, and #37 Bayer.

Congrats to the JV Birds.

 

Houliston is having a great year and that is a dynamite sophomore class. Should be interesting to see who grows in the offseason. I'd like to see Drew pick up a couple inches as he also plays hoops.
