Overall, I don't think it matters; people always find things to not like about someone in the political arena regardless of which side they are on. I do agree with your point about voting; I still consider it funny (in a sad way) that more people voted for the cast on American Idol than they did the same year of the Presidential election between Bush and Kerry. As bad as it may sound though, I can partially defend it and give the best answer to it that I consider possible: have good and proven candidates that know what they are doing, regardless of which side is being ran for.

I'm sure a lot AI voters were under 18, so it isn't fair. They have a larger pool.
