Two teams that have pride in their programs even when things are tough. Two coaching staffs that pour their heart and soul into making young men out of young boys. Two teams that play physical and all out for 4 quarters. Two teams that have talent but need to catch a couple breaks. Two sets of fans that will follow and cheer for their teams even when they aren't winning. Two teams that deserve to win a game when only one team can walk away the victor.

Plus, I can tell that you have been around for a while and have saw your share of these two going at it.:thumb: I have watched these two go at it since the early 70's and most every game was some of the hardest hitting, well played football that one would want to see. All were played to all players exhausted, bruised and sore at the end and would shake hands in respect for the other after the game. :thumb::thumb:

Hard to go with the rams after last friday.I think i will keep my vote this week. I cant wait for them 4th graders to get here,the might hit somebody.Looks like we have about 3 kids that want to play defence.The rest of them are just filling up a uniform.

The one amazing thing about young athletes is their ability to put the last game behind them and start preparing for the next one. I'm proud of your work attitude and hustle. Keep it up and show everyone that our (lack of) defensive effort last week was a fluke.

I think games like last week are a lot harder on us old farts way more then the players! The kids seem to bounce back alot quicker then us. We X old players have bad dreams about it. We wake up the next morning in a bad mood and start spilling our guts about the last game on BGP as if it were the end of the world. The kids. Well they just kind of move on!

Well. I guess the only chance Raceland has is to use a little bit of speed coming off the ball. The Bulldogs have some sizable linemen and if Raceland is able to stay a lot lower coming off the ball and use their speed to control the tempo, we shouldn't have a great deal of trouble with Lawrence County. I spoke with a couple of Portsmouth East folks, who said that they felt as though the played a flawless offensive game last Friday. They also stated that they gave their best on defense. Our boys just need to play like they know how to play, come Friday. Our defense is better than last week's display.

:thumb: Absolutely! Just another example of two programs that go at one another hard on the field and the fans as well as the players respect the other on and off the field.

I have always enjoyed reading the LCHS fans post on here. They are respectful, knowledgable and a class act all the way. Jude is a great example of what a fan and competitor should be.
