If someone knows if they will play Puerto Rico and has a link please post it on here, one of my friends is on the Puerto Rico national team and I"d love to watch him play.

For the last couple of games I have been running a google search for FIBA Basketball Americas live stream.

This is the link for the live stream of the game currently on:

It should work again tonight. The D.R. plays Puerto Rico tonight at 8:30 eastern.

The D.R. lost tonight to Puerto Rico 79-62. But, Coach Cal's "other" team is assured of its first ever berth in an Olympic qualifying semifinal round, which will occur on Saturday. Since the top 2 teams in the FIBA Americas Tournament qualify for the Olympics, a win on Saturday in the semi's will send the Domincan Republic to London.

The goal is to avoid Argentina in the semis. There are several different scenarios now though, since Brazil upset Argentina today.

In today's game, the DR got absolutely nothing from Francisco Garcia and Charlie Villanueva. That combined with some rando PR player who started raining threes out of nowhwere led to the loss. The DR has a real shot on Saturday against Brazil or PR, Argentina is tough - they're beatable but tough.

Despite losing its last 2 games, the Dominican Republic has qualified for the FIBA Americas Tournament final four. They play Brazil Saturday at 6 pm. The winner moves on to the finals and an automatic berth in the London Olympic games. The D.R. upset Brazil earlier in the tournament. Brazil has not lost since.

Is Cal and his staff the only staff not out seeing recruits today?

You can guarantee that Cal's staff is out seeing recruits today. There will be plenty of noise when he returns to the country next week.

The D.R. lost to Brazil tonight in the FIBA Tournament of the Americas semi's. The Dominicans did not earn an automatic bid to the Olympics. Their finish does, however, qualify them for the last chance qualifying tournament next summer, just prior to the London games. (By then Worldwide Wes will no doubt have convinced Lebron and Kobe to repatriate to Puna Cana. 10-12 months for Coach Cal to retool.)

The Dominican Republic was absolutely screwed by the FIBA officials tonight. Brazil was the predetermined winner and it was that obvious.

Wow. Unfortunately I think it happens more than we realize in sports. Sad.
