Holy Cross has a number of weapons. Their offense is more wide open than even the last few years. I noticed great improvement on the defensive side of the ball and special teams. HC also has the addition of several new coaches. Last night was one of the craziest things I have ever seen with the entire first quarter played on one side of the field. Soph Jalen Beal had 4 TDs in the first quarter (2 runs, 1 receiving, 1 blocked punt and recovery). Senior Eric Walker had 3 TDs (1 int ret, 1 receiving, 1 kick off ret to open the 2nd half). The "humps" for HC to get over include not only NCC, but Beechwood as well. Cooper and Conner should prove interesting tests over the next two weeks. Daytons coaching change has nothing to do with this game. Obviously HC is a good team and were bigger, faster and stronger then Dayton. Make no mistske about it Dayton is not in HC league but I still have my doubts about HC until the get over the hump and beat NCC. Just to clarify Chad Montgomery will do fine in Dayton he is building from the ground up and will do very well at Dayton!
