Montgomery Co is my pre-season pick to be #1 in the region.

They should be solid this year, along with Pendleton County and Harrison County. Those are my top 3 this year, with Mason close behind.

The Gateway Holiday Classic the year will be a good measuring stick for the Indians. The Boys Tournament will have 2011 Sweet 16 participant Marshall County, plus Bryan Station, Madison Central, Owen County, Harrison County, Campbell County and Louisivlle Male in addition to Montgomery County.

We are at the mid-point of the season with a 12-3 record. We have key wins over Ashland, GRC, Lafayette, and Marshall County. Big games coming up against Pendleton County(Home), GRC(Away), Madison Central(Away), Mason County(Home), Henry Clay(Home), Woodford County(Away), and Harrison County(Home). The team still seems to be adjusting to a new coach/style, but seems to be improving every game. IMO we still need to develop an inside presence. Prewitt is leading the way avg. 21.7 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. Hopefully, we can continue to play injury free ball.

IMO the key is going to be Jake Handshoe, as he will have to step up and start playing with some leadership and makingbetter selections on the floor (passes and shots). I think he was out during Christmas for illness?????, and has not been starting the past several games, I guess he is still working his way back into the lineup. Prewitt and playing up to expectations and the guard play has really be coming around (especially the Fruth kid).
