Boyle's no pushover. Especially in Boyle County. If the Birds win by 3 TDs, then you might as well go ahead and not play the rest of the 4A season. I can't imagine winning by 21 in Danville against THAT black and gold. (And, just for the record...I do love black and gold.) Is it Harrington who wore #6 last year for Boyle, is that the right name? That kid was fantastic on defense. Sure, Highlands is Highlands, always will be. I can't imagine Mueller will overlook any team, he's too good a coach. But for the HHS fans, if you think this is an easy W, don't be surprised if you go down to Danville and that team punches your team in the mouth right up front. They're not playing around, and they have a few state titles of their own! I'd like to watch this game myself.(However, I cancelled a trip to NYC in order to attend JC's home opener, so...yeah.)

 

That is the correct name. #6 is Jarrod Harrington WR/DB. He is our emotional leader this year. He has heart that won't quit. Our sparkplug. Easily my favorite player on the team and one of my top 5 Rebels in any sport(he is my son's best friend so I am completely biased and not ashamed to admit it). Could be the smallest player on the field every Friday night but he plays bigger than 99% of the people on the field. He will not back down from anyone or anything. If the rest of the team had his mentality I'd be talking a lot trash. I love the kid.

So we should all stop posting because your postings have dropped off? Give me a break. The Bluebird fans are the ones that turn folks off for the most part..check out other posts on other teams and see how quickly Highlands folks pile on. Only one SK fan can be as annoying. People come on this message board to say what they want, not just to pledge how super duper Highlands is at football. Wouldn't be much of a board if that is all it was, and that is what it is turning into.

 

The Highlands fans say the same thing every time, every year-just insert different players names.

 

Much more fun to talk about the other teams because Highlands fans, not the players and coaches, are way too sensitive. :cry::idunno:

 

I think it comes down to each school having different types of fans and then in response to the negative fans, the good fans of a particular school have to endure unfair criticism. In other words, I think we need to all choose our battles on here and make sure we direct our stingy responses towards the "deserving members" and not just any member from the same school.
